"You who have forsaken Me, declares the Lord. You keep going backward."Jeremiah 15:6 Vomit. God calls it vomit. "Like a dog that returns to its vomit is a fool who repeats his folly" (Proverbs 26:11). One of the wonderful things about God's mercy is that we often get a second chance to learn from past mistakes. But woe to the one who refuses to learn. "Woe to the rebellious children...who execute a plan, but not Mine...who proceed down to Egypt."Isaiah 30:1-2 To "proceed down to Egypt" indicates a return to previous bondage. God says, "Don't do it!" Remember Lot's wife? "But his wife, from behind him, looked back; and she became a pillar of salt" (Genesis 19:26). Stop going backward! Learn from past mistakes and grow from them, but move on. Accept the mercy and forgiveness that God extends to all who confess their sins and repent (see 1 John 1:6-9). Go forward (see Genesis 12:1-4; Exodus 14:15; Matthew 28:19-20) and... Don't look back.
