Every once in a while, this kind of feeling overwhelms us.  I think, not feeling Him around us doesn't mean He has deserted us.  He is ever so loving and forgiving and so near.  Praying is a conversation with the Almighty God and in a conversation, one is a speaker as well as a listener.  Many a times we forget that after telling our Father whatever it is we have for Him, we also need to listen.  I feel that on such occasions as you describe, be still, and listen to Him.  He has a lot to tell us in the silence of our Hearts.  Dear Ellie, He is with you always and don't you ever doubt that.

My prayer for you now is St Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 3 : 16 - 19. "I pray that from His glorious unlimited resources, He will give you mighty inner strength through His Holy Spirit.  17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.  18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love really is.  19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
