Prosperity, a sacred treasure:
Prosperity is not ~ to produce a tangible fortune,
It is to succeed;
Success is not ~ to gain money,
It is to progress;
To progress is not ~ to expand worldly possessions,
It is to mature in character;
Maturity hasn’t a matter in common with money or appointed authority,
Maturity denotes a conduct that builds positive characteristics,
It embodies the persona of…

If God suddenly appeared at your front door and revealed that He wishes to meet with your wife or husband for some unarticulated reason, how would you respond? Allow me. The following represents two most common reactions in an unexpected visitor scenario. You would probably do one of these two:
1. Stunned and unfamiliar, softly close the door and stumble through the house to fetch the requested member. Or,
2. Excitedly and…

Once again, I find myself battling pride. It’s funny though, how this little enemy can hide itself. Meaning, one usually expects pride’s presentation to illustrate something completely different from what it sometimes does. Certainly, recognizing fear as a byproduct of pride is no easy task. For instance, one might think that he or she stands victim solely to fear--which predictably leads to anxiety, which then of course indicates a need to rebuke or overcome fearful thoughts and emotions--when…

Smile:
Smile still in dim of day as proof that not a mound on high can capture your joy away;
When skys look troublesome to your sight, remember the guise of a deceitful plight, because hidden schemes are more distructive;
Deliver your steps unto the path a’straight, for they’ll maintain a way your rescue; whereas phony paths shall display only to foreshow you a’baffle;
And pardon the patron who fails to pray; award him your blessings in response of treason,…

Through general observation, I noticed Christians frequently suffer from self-induced conceptual confinement regarding how they should engage life’s ordinary challenges. Moreover, I hereby publically acknowledge that I am one of those afflicted. To explain, we allow apprehension to torment us. Then decide we want to receive an answer
directly from God to the question…what is my destiny? Such a simple question, yet it embodies tremendous consequence. The question usually lingers until…

I had this come to me recently.
I wondered, what about angels? Not so much what is their purpose, because the bible tells us they are messengers. What I did wonder, however, is why did some angels fall with satan? I have been told before that angels do not possess free-will, or a free spirit. So I had to of course wonder how then did some them fall?
This is what came to me the other night as I pondered this question. Angels DO own an ability to make their own choices; they…

You've probably been told throughout your life that you should think before you make an important decision. However, consider what is at the root of a thought. How do we know what to think? We must first make a choice. We choose what kind of thought we would like to engage, such as something positive or something negative. Therefore, it might prove equally important, or even more important to practice choosing before we think. So how might we be able to make a choice before we make a thought?…

Do you worship your God or your ministering role model?
I often see articles that intend to discredit everything about individual ministers. Why? Are we at times so self righteous and shallow that we expect our ministers to have all the right answers? Do we esteem them as though they should represent the fullness of our Lord, Jesus Christ? We should be careful not to. Why? Because the bible says so. We are told to not worship idols. It is a direct command. Do we tend to idolize our…

Do you know that everything you do is an act of worship as long as it's in line with the will of God? I never really thought about it this way before, but Pastor John Hagee gave a televised sermon today that got me to thinking about this. He said that his wife had a revelation one day while at the kitchen sink, washing dishes. He said tears rolled down his wife's face as she stood there thinking about all the blessings in her life and realizing that that very moment, as insignificant as it…

For those of you who know my mom underwent hip replacement surgery today, I want to bring you up to date with her condition. The surgery went well, praise Jesus! The surgery took about two hours, and the epidural kept her numbed up pretty well for a good six hours. She began to feel some discomfort in her back and so received some pain medication. This is no doubt going to be a long night for her as she must lay still :) Tomorrow, the nurses will help her to move about, and Friday she comes…

Do you ask God for answers to all your questions? Maybe you are one of a large number who suppress some of their questions, hoping that God won't notice they are wondering. This might happen to you when you have a question about the meaning of a scripture. Often, people think that God expects them to simply understand what is written since, after all, they are a child of God; therefore, they should not have trouble making sense of His Holy Word, right? When this happens, it's time to tell…

Uncertainty took me down a path I did not want to go. I became sinfully involved with a man I thought I loved so very much. The feeling of conviction was very strong at times, but I continued to justify my actions in my thoughts. I told myself things like, "We love each other, and I plan to spend my whole life with him; therefore, God should understand." In time, the excuse just wasn't enough to contend my spirit and I had to get out of the relationship. When I did leave the man, I drew very…

Matthew 1:20-22
20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins."
22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
