This morning as we worship our Lord we are reminded it that today is Palm Sunday. The voices of the faithful will be raised in joyous hallelujah's.
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!”
Matt 21:9 (GW)
The crowds went wild as they saw Christ approaching and threw palm branches and their cloaks onto the ground in recognition of His kingship. Here was the man whose…

One hears so much of innocent people receiving bad advise. Recently here in Hamilton a youth had suffered a brain injury as a result of a beating. After his discharge from the hospital he required help to get around and to perform certain tasks. To help him a woman arrived at his home with a beautiful golden retriever trained for that purpose. The youth and his family were told the dog required some more training and it would be his. Sometime later the dog arrived only a different dog, a dog…

Isaiah Is Sent With a Message for the LORD'S People
1 In the year King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a high and lofty throne. The bottom of his robe filled the temple. 2 Angels were standing above him. Each had six wings: With two they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They called to each other and said,
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Armies!
The whole earth is filled with his…

This afternoon I watched briefly as the remains of the Calgary Herald Reporter and the four soldiers were removed from the Air Force Plane and placed into one of the five hearses. Then the families, loved ones and friends each placed a rose, white, yellow or red on the coffins that contained remains of loved ones. I have watched this scene numerous times but never did it move me as it did today. Each family member, each wife, sister, daughter, brother, son, each friend had looked forward to…

As the Christ child lay contently asleep in the feeding manager and as shepherds gathered around to gaze in wonder upon this child sent by God and announced by angels. How appropriate that shepherds and their sheep gathered around this Wonder that lay wrapped in his swaddling cloths for this innocent and divine Child would become the Shepherd of shepherds seeking His sheep in life's wilderness. Many would respond to His call and follow Him as He led them to the waters of eternal life, to feed…

8 Or what woman, having ten bits of silver, if one bit has gone from her hands, will not get a light, and go through her house, searching with care till she sees it?
9 And when she has it again, she gets her friends and neighbours together, saying, Be glad with me, for I have got back the bit of silver which had gone from me.
Luke 15:8-9 (BBE)
Webster's New World Dictionary defines a miracle as "A remarkable event or thing, marvel." It also defines it as "An event or…

RAMBLING:CAT ON THE BIBLE
More often than not when I decide to sit down and do paper work guess who comes and lays right on top of the papers? My cats or at least one of them will. This little ceremony is also carried out when I am reading. Dare I without thinking lay down my book, be it a story book or the Bible, one of my "boys" is sure to make himself comfortable on whatever I a reading and its not that easy to dislodge them either. Now this is a sign of love and affection on their part…

Delete Post Edit Blog Posts..In school, years ago, my teacher would have a roll call every morning and each student whose name was called would reply "here" obviously there was silence if a student was absent - well in most cases sometimes a student whose name was called and was present was so busy doodling or reading or simply ignoring the teacher. It would require a second call to that student in order for them to respond. Those whose names had to…

NOTE: The following article from J.C. Brumfield is a continuation from the previous post WHAT IS HAPPINESS? Edward
HOW?
J.C. Brumfield
There is only one possible solution , only one way to be happy and content. That is to have everything your heart desires. Let me repeat, it is possible. God says,"He shall bring it to pass."
You see, the secret is in what you desire - "He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Now…

This afternoon, around supper time, we got hit hard with a rain storm, wind along with thunder and lightening. Just brfore the rain hit us full force I looked out my living room window and to my surprise I saw Billy. Now Billy is a black squirrel, who along with Charlie a gray squirrel, come to my window ledge on the third floor of my apartment building to enjoy their daily helping of peanuts. Now Billy was determined in spite of the high winds to enjoy his meal and would not allow the wind,…

RAMBLING: THE CITY
I live in a city and I don't like it! In fact I don't like any city and I have lived in several both here in Canada and in the USA. What is it about cities I don't like? I find most cities are dirty (except of course those areas designated as tourist attractions), noisy, polluted, crime, corruption, prostitutes, johns, drugs, drunks, smelly, rudeness, traffic, construction, streets in need of repair,....well you get the picture. I would prefer to live in the…

Over a period of years I have submitted to a variety of Christian GROUPS and individuals posts that I have nicknamed "Ramblings" which are basically my thoughts on spiritual matters, scriptures, and personal thoughts on certain issues. When I have posted the above the response has been surprisingly good. I also appreciate very much the responses I have received and I value them highly. Therefore I have created a new address for just such posts and for responses. There is another reason for…
