In June of 1993 I gave birth to a beautiful little girl. The delivery was difficult and because she was backwards I had to have a C-Section. Complications arose and I had to be completely sedated. We shared many memories some good some blue

We laughed we cried and fought over a man or two

But we always had that bond forever and true



She never was one to stay in just one place

She chased after rainbows with determination on her face

She moved around but always had time to call

To see how I was doing and send her love to us all



Then one day she told me the news

You carried me before I could walk

You encouraged me to learn to talk

I lost myself long ago, now I'm found and now I know

I know deception, I've felt rejection

I know hurt, I know pain

How warm the sun, how cold the rain

I know fun and laughter too

I've even met love a time or two

I've seen the miracle of life before my eyes

I've seen it taken away, I learned good-bye

I've seen an angels love in my children's smiles,

My daughter walks through my dreams though we parted awhile

I've lost touch with reality never to be found again,

I've been blinded by love only to get deceived,

I've made wrong choices, I didn't want to believe.

I've been lost to this world, and the pain it can cause

Then I found a gift, given many years ago,

One I had forgotten, from some one I didn't know,

It showed me the way to ease my pain,

This poem is written for my son Austin, who may not live older than 9 or 10, he is three now and has a brain degenerative disorder. It hurts to know I may not have my precious baby forever, but I am very thankful for the time we have had and do have. I pray every day for a miracle

She never used drugs, or abused the babies she held so dear
