My father became very close with the Nixons. He was fairly close with John F. Kennedy. After the Watergate era, however, he said, “I’m not going to say anything to a politician again unless it’s of a…

On the street I saw a small girl cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God; “Why did you permit this? Why don’t you do something about it?” For a while God said nothing. That night he replied, quite suddenly: “I certainly did something about it. I made you.” - Invisible People
Another day, another discovery. What I found is a blog about "invisible people." Do you know them? Have you seen one? You may say, "How can I see them…

I stumbled upon The Daily Spurgeon Website today and what I dig is a precious digest of a sermon by Charles H Spurgeon entitled "Apostolic Exhortation." I have quoted in its entirety in order not to miss every single nugget of wisdom from this great man popularly known as the "Prince of Preachers." In a written authobiography, it stated that in his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10 million people often up to 10 times each week at different places.
The digest speaks about…

"We are sad to lose the presence of our pastor, shepherd, father and brother. We are thankful, however, for his life, love and influence on the individuals and ministries he inspired for the last 30 years." (statement of church leaders of Victory Christian Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma)

One of my favourite character in the Bible is Joshua. I admire how he challenged the Israelites to choose whom they will serve. Joshua made a definite stand! A powerful one. Against the odds. He must have been rediculed, persecuted, and abandoned. His decision was unpopular to many people who chose to worship their idols, their wealth, their jobs, and their possessions.
Joshua was a military leader, a prophet, a judge. He was a man of influence. A spy. A war strategist famous for…

I have watched this clip several times and I cannot stop being inspired everytime I view the same again and again. It's a concrete demonstration of a father's love to his son. In my deep thoughts, I realize how God's love is being manifested to mankind. God offers a love more than our earthly father could give. God's desire is to lavish His unconditional love to anyone. A love that is beyond all measures. A love that is endless. A steadfast love. For God so loved the world that He gave His only…

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6"
I am always excited to ask my four year old son what activities he did at Hillsong Kid's Church. Sunday by Sunday, he has that prominent expectation and enormous excitement to go. He has developed that sense of connection with other kids, volunteers and leaders at his Sunday school despite the short period of time since we moved here in Sydney only few months ago. How awesome!…

A man dies and meets the gatekeeper at the Pearly Gates. The gatekeeper says to the man, "Here's how it works. You need to have one hundred points to get into heaven. You tell me about all the good things you've done. They are all worth a certain number of points. If your total is one hundred or more, you can come in."
"Well," says the man. "I was happily married to the same woman for 52 years. I never looked at another woman. I was attentive and loved her dearly."
"That's…

Have you tasted Hell? Look no more, go to New Zealand!
I love New Zealand. The Land of the Long White Clouds. Greener than where I am now here in Sydney, Australia. Famous for its white sand and clean beaches, millions of sheeps, outdoor adventures, rugby (I'm a fan of the All Blacks), fishing spots, and home of Sir Edmund Hillary, first man to conquer Mt Everest. New Zealand was my home for the past six years and I can say, it's a country of friendly Kiwis - both the bird (kiwi) and…

“For me, the world of nature bears spectacular witness to the imaginative genius of our Creator.” — Phillip Yancey, Christian author
“What can be seen on earth points to neither the total absence nor the obvious presence of divinity, but to the presence of a hidden God. Everything bears this mark.”— Blaise Pascal (1623-1620), mathematician and theologian
