The Bible says that God created man in His image. But what does that mean exactly? Did Adam and Eve look like God? To the physician it's merely a two-ounce slab of mucous membrane enclosing a complex array of muscles and nerves that enable our bodies to chew, taste, and swallow. How helpful! Equally significant, it is the major organ of communication that enables us to articulate distinct sounds so we can understand each other. How essential!

God loves you with the same love He loved His own Son, Jesus. Think about that for a minute. DOesn't it send shivers up your spine? God loves you. And it isn't a bearly-tolerate-you-because-I-have-to love, but a completely over-the-top, can't-get-enough-of-you kind of love. Amazing? Yes. Unbelievable? Definitely. True? Absolutely!

I was driving to meet a friend, and was running late, (first God moment), she was running late too.

When it comes to the major-league difficulties like death, disease, sin and disaster--you know that God cares.



But what about the smaller things? What about grouchy bosses or flat tires or lost dogs? What about broken dishes, late flights, toothaches, or a crashed hard disk? Do these matter to God?

How do you respond when the going gets tough? Is there someone around to help you through those times? Let God help you when you get in a jam. He knows your limitations. When trouble arises--stop--pray--and believe God will give you the strength you need.
