Slip Of The Tongue

From My Perspective - - - -

There are many trite sayings that are occasionally used as a generalization for ones expressions about particular matters. Sometimes it is represented as coming from someone who’s “thinking on his feet”, or a statement can be relegated to “a slip of the tongue.” There is another statement that is also circulated about some people: “he keeps talking until he can think of something to say…” And then, there is the statement of Jesus Christ in Luke 6:44-45:…

THE LORD IS NEAR IN THE VALLEY OF DESCISION

THE LORD IS NEAR IN THE VALLEY OF DESCISION

Robert Bushman 8-8-08

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Joel 3:14

The Lord is near in the valley of decision.

Whenever the Lord draws near and we find ourselves in a valley of decision.

There is always a call to repentance. And there is always deliverance for God's people.

There are… Continue

THE PATHWAY TO MOKSHA OR SALVATION -- BY PANDIT DHARMA PRAKASH SHARMA

The Pathway to "Moksha" or Salvation

The five Pandava brothers had just finished the Holy Mahabarat war. They had even completed the sacrifice that pertains to victorious kings, symbolizing the glory of the king as that of the rising sun. Now all that was left to be done was to attain the ultimate bliss before completing their earthly pilgrimage, and in pursuance of that goal of attaining true salvation, they arrived at the pilgrim center of… Continue

The Power of the Word.

Psalm 107:17–20

Fools, because of their rebellious way, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all kinds of food; and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

There’s a picture of people in desperate need. They’ve become so sick they’ve lost all appetite. Their physical frame has… Continue

Rust About Trust

From My Perspective - - -

Inasmuch as this nation declares “In God We Trust” and pledges that we are “One Nation, Under God”, one would have the impression that foundational to our heritage would be a strong belief system that embraces a power greater than ourselves Who controls the affairs of mankind in the world. In a Presidential contest, we want to know the “church” a candidate attends and what an individual believes.

It’s no secret that “religion” has been in the…

Not about me

Thats the whole truth. Its not about me. No matter what I go through, no matter how hard. Its not about me. It's about God and giving him the glory for all the good that happens in my life. Its about turning everything around so all that people see is Him. Its all about Him and leading others to salvation so that they can also proclaim his glory. Forgive me for ever thinking that this journey is about me. Many have gone before me and many will come after me. And the only thing that remains the… Continue

Wall dating to Second Temple unearthed

More archeological wonders from Israel:

Remains of the southern wall of Jerusalem that was built by the Hasmonean Kings during the Second Temple period have been uncovered on Mount Zion, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced Wednesday.

The 2,100-year-old wall, which was destroyed during the Great Revolt against the Romans that began in 66 CE, is located on Mount Zion just outside the present-day walls of the Old City.… Continue

WHAT THE HINDU SCRIPTURES REVEAL ABOUT CHRIST?

Many people in India say that Jesus Christ was a great saint who founded the Christian Religion. The Bible tells us that all mankind have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom.3:23) and that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was sent by God to this world, to become the propitiation for our sins. Who is this Jesus? Apart from the Bible, let us know about Him from the ancient Hindu Scriptures. An Indian saint who had a thorough knowledge of the ancient Hindu Scriptures presented Jesus from… Continue

Surprise, Shock and Awe

From My Perspective - - -

In the 1960s, a popular situation comedy caught the attention of Americans; it was Gomer Pyle, USMC. The description of the program is: “Gomer Pyle was the simple-minded gas station attendant and later auto mechanic in the American TV sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, played by Jim Nabors. He continued the character in Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. from 1964-69. Gomer Pyle was a good-natured, naive country-boy, characterized by his childlike innocence and his…

THINK BLAST 6:00 - Visit www.RandallNiles.com for more!

In Hamlet, William Shakespeare declares:

"There is nothing either good nor bad but thinking makes it so."

This also seems to be the mantra of the day:

There is no universal right and there is no universal wrong –

Morality is relative to the person and place in which it is applied.

You might have heard someone say, “there’s no right and there’s no wrong,” but you have to ask yourself, is their statement right or wrong? And I’m sure you’ve heard… Continue

Light in your circumstances

Due to a buzy schedule i havent had the change to chat to all of you as much as I would like, but I decided that I needed to share what I saw.

Sunday, two weeks ago, I had a vision while i was lying down a bit after a long week, but I couldnt sleep and did the most obvious thing, I pray.

Then i received a vision of a window and through it I saw very dark clouds, although it seemed like a huge storm, I didnt feel afraid. And then suddenly I saw the sun breaking through the clouds, the… Continue

The Subtlety of Nuance

From My Perspective - - - -

In Jeremiah 17:9, the Prophet wrote: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know (understand) it?” This reality can be seen in many facets of life as people and organizations try to be “politically correct” to serve their own best interests and to achieve a desired goal. In some instances, this appears to be more subtle than others.

In the area of politics (a new strategy begun during 2004), an interesting…

Things are even better!

Well, God has blessed me with very supportive and flexible bosses. I can work full-time over six days and then I will be home after school with my daughter! We can do homework and I can keep getting health insurance! I realize I don't give God credit for all my blessings. I just chalk them up to coincidence or whatever. So praise God once again and its good for me to blog because I forget how many solutions to situations I have gotten and just look from problem to problem. It's good to look… Continue

If I Have No Love...

Dear brothers and sisters!

I cannot but share with you one of my most favourite scriptures of the Holy Bible (it's also been my revalation 1 day)... It's about Love... real, true, strong, everlasting... it's about the love i am so happy to have... thanks to Jesus... my God, my Lord, my Saviour... Amen...

1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom… Continue

Discipline & Love

Proverbs 3:11-12

My son, do not despise the LORD’S discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. NIV

Discipline is a mark of love. Many have gone astray in our contemporary culture and misunderstood that. Unfortunately there has been a philosophy of bringing up children which omits discipline. You are to allow the child to do whatever he wishes, to indulge himself in every… Continue
