"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
God hears your prayers and guides you - even in the worst possible circumstances. Oh, He’s so good! All I want to do is shout! Why? Because He surely is “the Lord that healeth thee.” (Ex. 15:26) and a “rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” (Heb. 11:6)
I must give God the glory for all the wonderful things He has done! For years I had…

Yesterday my Minister spoke to me about the sermon I missed in Church. I was so intrigued about what she was saying, she was kind enough to share her words with me via e-mail. As I read what she had written a message about Jesus' character was shining through. Jesus was truly representing the character of God and we should be truly representing the character of Jesus, but do we. Do we really take our commitment as Christians as serious as we think. My minister finished her sermon with the poem…

From My Perspective - - -
There is a wide range of potential and possibility in terms of human behavior. In practical understanding, we have all experienced events that have made us very happy as well as those that have brought great sadness. For instance, Marriage is usually a time of great joy and happiness whereas Divorce is a time of considerable sadness, hurt and bitter exchanges. Max Lucado writes in
his book – The Applause of Heaven, “…Unfaithfulness is wrong. Revenge… Continue

The financial news of the past few days has not been positive for many. Large Companies being absorbed by others; Brokerage houses Bankrupt; Insurance Company receiving an 85 Billion Dollar Government infusion of cash; Housing Markets in disarray and being essentially taken over by the Government; etc. Someone either wisely or caustically asked: Who’s Going To Bail Out The Government?
There is also a crisis in our Government. Polls indicate… Continue

In every teardrop, God's rainbow of promise shines through.
He holds our tears in a bottle,
and our tears will reap joy;
For all God's promises have His ' yea' and ' amen' in them;
He has given us His Spirit as a guarantee.
In God's right hand; He lovingly holds us.
In His left hand; the bottle of tears is held.
The Lord will never leave us nor forsake us.
He has not forgotten, ~ ONE ~ promise!

Powerful words, underlying profound questions, argued passionately for centuries.
Although the science is more progressive, the tools more technological, and the media more dramatic, the debate is still the same. Logic, reason, and rhetoric -- evidence, experience, and emotion – the great thinkers in science, philosophy, and…

"Blessed are those who persecuted because of righteousness , for their is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you , persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad , because great is your reward in heaven , for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before me."

In the ebb and flow of life, interruptions are a reality we all experience. No one is ever adequately prepared for the interruptions – they just occur. We might call these the unplanned encounters in life. In our lifetime, many of us can remember some of the major interruptions (and unplanned encounters) that have occurred – Pearl Harbor in 1941; World Trade Center in 2001; Assassinations – John F. Kennedy in 1963; Martin Luther King in 1968; Robert F.… Continue

4He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Me to You
I remember the story my Mom has told many times and too many people. The time Meghan ran away and she was only five years old. Now to my knowledge this never happened. The story goes like this. I was five years old and I was in trouble with my Mom who sent me to my room. I was so mad at her that I decided to escape the…

5There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:5
Me to You
At the beginning of this week I read this obituary that had been posted on my bulletin board for awhile now. Thinking nothing of it I took it off the board and began to read. I was shocked. I was thinking of an obituary, you no, the ones that are in the paper that read about someone who has just passed away. It gives you dates and such. Well this “obituary” was not that at all. I…

Colossians 3:23
Me to You.
Today I cleaned my office and re- arranged things. I am a clean nut so this happens often. As I was cleaning I found a poem that was shoved under the desk. The paper was crumpled up and as I could see it had been there for a long time, but after unfolding it I found a beautiful poem. I was in awe. God defiantly puts things in our paths to find when He…

They are networks that you can sign up for and connect with people thru the internet. You can post blogs, make comments, show pictures and much…

Me to You.
I love the saying, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never no what your going to get.” This week as I was walking through the internet I saw an advertisement on one of the many banners that is posted every where and it was for a church and they were using this famous title. I have been struggling…

Okay I have to admit something to you all. I am a devotion nut! I love them. You really see the people; see how they think and who they are. So today, as I was browsing around the internet looking at different devotions, I found a link at the bottom of one and it said, “A letter from God.” I click on it and I took me this page that had a wonderful letter from God to us,…

I have been stuggling for sometime with the role of women in God's Church. And would appreciate others thoughts on this subject.
I come from a bacground where women were indirectly forbidden from holding leadership roles. Sunday school teaching of 4th grade and below, social women's ministiries, etc. was all. I even found this to be true teaching in a Christian middle and high school. I could teach but that was it. Since my husband and two wonderful daughters were in this same…

Mark 4:35-41
“And other little boats were also with Him.”
As I was reading this passage, the pharase “And other little boats were also with Him.” Jumped out at me. As soon as I finished my devotion I had to write these thoughts down. But now I am not as sure that I was coming to the right conclusions. It is the first time I have had this experence so I want to make sure it is God woring and not Satan creeping into my devotion time as he has done in the past.
Is this…

We stepped into the sixteenth century, my daughter and I. The city of Quebec is celebrating its four hundred’s anniversary and we relished in their celebrations. We delved into historical monuments, ramparts, archeological digs, theatrical depictions of victories and defeats, and the yummy local French cuisine.
After its founder, Samuel de Champlain, set up a fur trading post in 1608, Quebec surrounded itself with ramparts. From its high promontory it had a strategic view over the…
