Running the Race
Let us set aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us and let us run with endurance the race that is before us.
Hebrews 12:1
Aerodynamics is very important in racing I am told. Not being a science major, I take their word for it! Runners wear clothing that will help them win the race and not cause resistance from the wind. They do not want anything in any form of racing that would weight them down and cause their time to be diminished.…

The Opposition He Endured
Consider Him [Jesus] who endured such opposition from sinful men so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3
Consider this scenario….people you thought were your friends and supporters suddenly turn against you. They say horrible things about you and spread untrue and negative rumors concerning things you allegedly did. Worse yet, they turn you into the police and file false charges against you. You are found guilty…and at your…

The two system of the Economic in the world!
There are two systems of the world economic today and as children of God we need to know these systems. The bible says in John 3:21 that “but who ever lives by the truth comes into the light so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has be done through Christ”. Christian need to live by the truth and nothing will be hidden from us.
The two system of the economic are: God system (sowing and reaping), and Devil system (Gathering…

HEAR WHAT OPRAH WINFREY HAD TO SAY ABOUT MEN
If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away.
If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay.
Stop making excuses for a man and his behaviour.
Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache.
Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be.
Slower is better.
Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy.
If a relationship…

What Your Speech Says About You
"You are one of them... Your speech shows it!" Mark 14:70 (NKJV)
You can try to disguise your identity by changing your looks, your social circle and your address - but how you speak will give you away every time.
It happened to Peter. When a servant girl saw him warming himself by the fire, she said, "'You...were with Jesus of Nazareth.' But he denied it...And the...girl saw him again and began to say to those who stood by, 'This…

There's one sad truth in life I've found, While journeying east and west
The only folks we really wound, Are those we love the best.
We flatter those we scarcely know, We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow, To those who love us best."

The Jersey Collector
As many of you as were baptized into Christ have been clothed yourself with Christ.
Galatians 3:27
What we wear is not what counts. As stated in I Samuel 16:7, “The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”. The Lord indeed does not look at our outward appearance. He does not judge us by how tall or short, thin or heavy we are or how nicely we dress. That is, sadly, however…

Consumed or Conquered ?
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23
Let not your hearts be troubled.
John 14:1
Jeremiah did not write the words above from Lamentations at a time when he was sitting in an ivory castle with servants waiting on him hand and foot. He was going through some very difficult and trying times. He was greatly…

From My Perspective - - -
Our Culture has always demonstrated an ability to have objects of special attention and to be thought of in different ways. When I was a child, part of the great competition vying for a “fan-base” in music was in terms of who the best “crooner” was – Frank Sinatra or Bing Crosby. It was said that young women would “swoon” when they heard Frankie “croon”… It was a form of “Veneration”! According to Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary, Veneration means:… Continue

The Eyes of the Lord
He does not take His eyes off the righteous.
Job 36:7
Last night I had trouble falling asleep. I had a lot on my mind. I had just finished prayer and fellowship time with my online prayer group and there were a lot of concerns and needs expressed during this time. Other personal issues also “cluttered” my mind and made falling asleep difficult. As I laid in bed, I began to thank God for all His blessings in my life. One thought lead to another. I…

God is really so good to me. We picked our new furniture today. A couch, loveseat, coffee table, two end tables and two lamps. We purchased all of that, plus delivery and a one year warranty for under $1200.00. I am very excited. All except the tables will be here on Thursday. The tables we wanted were out of stock until the beginning of November. We decided to wait, because we like those tables best.
All of our kids have new winter coats, and I saved some money for their boots and…

I must say that I am quite disappointed in myself. If my bestfriend heard me say that she would say "stop being so hard on yourself" but this is the way that I feel. I know God and all that He means to me. I understand His love for me and realize that He is in control of everything. Absolutely NOTHING is impossible with Him in charge. He parted the Red Sea for crying out loud!! He made a donkey talk and raised people from the dead. What can God NOT do? He is my Lord and Savior and I love Him…

This article is from Huntley Brown - he is a fabulous concert pianist, man of God and is a black man. I appreciate so much his reasoning for not voting for Obama. I would like to see this article published or spread out via Email to as many as possible.
Why I Can't Vote For Obama

A woman has strengths that amaze me...
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens
She holds happiness, love & opinions
She smiles when she feels like screaming
She sings when she feels like crying
She cries when she's happy, and laughs when she's afraid, and her love is unconditional.
There's only one thing wrong with her, she forgets what she's worth!'
I'm Blessed, And so are You.

The Difference Between Covering and Covering Up
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
If you hang around with church folk very long, you will hear them speak about "covering." I remember when I first heard this phrase, I assumed they were talking about covering…

Who do you listen to?
""Therefore anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven."
Matthew 18:4 NLT
But his officers tried to reason with him and said, "Sir, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, wouldn't you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply to go and wash and be cured!" So Naaman went down to the Jordan River and dipped himself seven times, as the man of God had instructed…

From My Perspective - - - -
One of the cruelest forms of insult is disparagement. It’s a word that means: “To speak of in a slighting or disrespectful way; belittle. To reduce in esteem or rank….the act of speaking contemptuously of…” There are sundry illustrations of this type of verbalization and/or body language. Most recently, it began occurring when a man named Joe 'the Plumber' Wurzelbacher attended a Senator Obama Rally. He asked a question of The Senator regarding his plan… Continue

Today I placed a smile on the face of my best friend of 17 years. She means alot to me. We had lost touch for a few years, and only recently found one another again. The best part of the whole thing is that while we were apart we both found God and invited Him into our hearts and life. I believe that God placed us back into each others life for a purpose. Her birthday is going to be on the 29th. So, I got her nails done for her, because she has been wanting them done for some…
