I KNow ..... Who Is My Lord !!!!

I Know ..Who Is My Lord !!!!

I know He is the beginning, so why do I worry about the end?

I know He is the creator, so why do I wonder who will destroy?

I know He has forgiven me, so why can't I forgive myself?

I know He is a healer, so why do I speak of sickness?

I know He can do all things, so why do I say I can't?

I know He will protect me, so why do I fear?

I know He will supply all my needs, so why can't I…

How I Study a Bible Passage (1)

I feel this may be of benefit to someone, to help you study and understand a passage of Scripture. I want to share here how I do it.

The FIRST thing I do after reading the passage is to dissect it into manageable parts, so I can find out what the passage is really saying. I was asked to look at Deut 6, so I'm using this as an example. (The text is NKJ):

Deut 6:1-9 - THE GREATEST…

COMFORT FOR GOD'S CHILDREN

Why do believers suffer?

Comfort for God's children:

Why is there suffering in the world and why do we as Christians suffer.

Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do Good things happen to bad people ?

If there is a God of love why does He allow suffering, especially to those He loves?

We live in a world from the…

WAY too HEAVY!!

At our Tuesday night Bible study, we'd been studying Hebrews. We've just come to the end and finished chapter 13 a couple of weeks ago. It only took us just under two years. (You can't rush these things!!) :-)

Anyhow, rewind eight chapters back!! We were looking at chapter 5 and talking about the priesthood.

When I think of a priest, I'd think of someone dressed in… Continue

Words for the Weary!

(Posted last July on one of my other blogs...)

Here are some thoughts from the Bible on "Yokes and Burdens" ...

Firstly, some words from Jesus:

"At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My…

Cause & Effect - Gods universal principle

Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. NIV

There’s a warning against deceiving ourselves, imagining that we can sow one thing in life and reap something different, imagining that we can get away with things that God won’t see, that we won’t be caught up with the consequences of our actions. The Bible warns us this isn’t so. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

We know this is true in the natural realm. We… Continue

THE WAY BACK HOME

THE WAY BACK HOME

In Luke chapter fifteen we find a story that Jesus told that we call, “The Prodigal Son.” The story is a very moving story about a wayward son and how he came to his senses and returned home to his father.

I want to discuss the process of him returning to his father.

In verse eleven Jesus said, "A man had two sons.” he went on to say that the younger of the two sons wanted his share of the… Continue

WHILE I AM WAITING

WHILE I AM WAITING

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:

wait, I say, on the LORD.”
(PSALM 27:14 KJV)

You might be very surprised to know that the word, wait in the above verse means something very different from our English word , wait.

When we think of waiting, we think of some one waiting for a bus, or waiting for to be seated… Continue

~~~The Most Beautiful Flower(A lesson 4 all of us)~~
This innocent little boy, being blind made someone's day and just seeing this made me cry.... Sometimes we get caught up in our problems and do not stop to realize that there are others worse off than us and yet they live in hope and love...
Watch this video and You'll see what I'm talking about...
It brought me to tears~~~
Let us all be greatful for each day of life that God gives us, for being able to see, being able to walk, being able to use our both legs, our hands... There… Continue
Christain Hardships
HARDSHIPS
According to the dictionary, a hardship is any thing that causes suffering of difficulty. There are many hardships: stress, distress. things that make you feel mad, sad, worried, anxious, annoyed, harassed, nervous, or feel threatened, rumored, slandered, mocked, when someone lies on you , or tries to deceive you; the list can go on, because there are many hardships.
But Almighty God called you to be a soldier, he called you to be a Good Soldier. 2 Tim. 2:3 not… Continue
My Take on WEALTH!!
There was a BIG discussion going on in the chat room today about riches. And is it right for a Christian to desire wealth? And the love-of-money-is-the-root-of-all-evil verse was quoted.
So what should our attitude be? And why are there some Christians who are very blessed with money, and then other Christians who have nothing? Doesn't it seem a bit unfair on God's part that some have and some don't?
Well, that is questions I've tackled with for years. But at last, I see… Continue
THE REFUGE HOMELESS CHURCH MINISTRY
Every Sunday I serve at the Refuge homeless shelter for about 5 hours.
It's a long drive for me because of where I live, but it's well worth the trip just to spend time with my homeless friends.
The Refuge is what we call a Church without walls for the homeless.
You see the homeless don't feel accepted at a reguler Church, so some of my friends and I bring Church to them as you can see from the pictures below.…
~~~BROKENESS~~~

~~~BROKENNESS~~~~~~~
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart - these, O God, You will not despise" (Psalm 51:17).
What to do when you feel broken in spirit? What to do when you feel broken in heart?
What to do when you struggle each day to make things right and all your efforts fail?
What to do when you are constantly broke down by others who do not understand you?
What to do… Continue
Life in the Body
So...thank you those of you who sent me such great encouragement. Thank you for thinking of me and taking a moment to let me know that you were. A turning point came through Paige's reference to Habakkuk...I did read this book and I was amazed. I have been a student of the Word for years, but always skipped through the book of a prophet whose name I do not know how to pronounce! Here I was blessed. The Amplified Bible says this at 3:19 - The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery and my… Continue
I READ/HEARD THIS:
(I was needing somewhere to put some quotable quotes, so I'll use this blog post, and keep adding to it.)
Here's the first one....
It was said in 1904, at the time of the Welsh revival:
"Life with exuberance is to be preferred over death with composure."
MY TESTAMONY ( I MET JESUS ON MY ROAD TO DAMASCUS )
I was born in to a large family and I was the middle child, and our home was ravaged by Alcohol Abuse! My dad would stand me in the corner and punch me so hard and fast that I could not fall down or he would throw me across the room in to the walls and pick me up and do it again and again. He would beat my mom and she would take it out on us and whip us with a cord to an iron, man that thing hurt. I was being sexualy abused by my oldest brother so I guess I started to wet the bed so that he… Continue
