COURAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF ADVERSITY
Adversity is a great test of our courage. Courage is an attribute that God demands of us as we trek the road of life. Let us look at courage from a scriptural stand point. There are several different uses in the Scripture. Understanding these uses can help us to be more courageous in our every day walk with the Lord, and in the face of adversities that we might have to…

I have been having a lot of questions regarding praying in tongues.
1. Are we all who are saved and filled with the Holy Sirit supposed to be speaking in tongues?
2. Why are some tongues so similar?
3. If I am saved and filled with the Holy Spirit but do not speak in tongues, what does it mean?
Blessings!!!

New Yorks' bad government is at it again! Mr. Patterson wants to legalize same-sex marriage in our state! Bad enough that Vermont just passed it last week,now they want NY! As a New Yorker and a Christian, I say NO
How can ANYONE,straight or gay,actually believe that same-sex unions are okay?There is NOTHING okay about it. It is a sin,a perversion,and it should be criminal. I'd expect something like this from Massachusetts or California,as they are so liberal,but NOT Vermont and NY! Thank…

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.--- Hebrew 10:23-25
You know my brothers en sisters in Christ every time i go in my joined Christian sites... i am really… Continue

It may take me some time to be a part of this group. I was a member of another group that recently closed down. I lost all my friends. music, and my blog posts. I am a member of another group (faith-space.com). I am hesitant to jump right into this group for fear it too may shut down. So, just give me a little more time to see how it goes. Thanks.

A Mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he…

Good Evening to All and to some Good Morning,
This is weird for me as I have never shared with so many people at one time. As I heard the words of our Pastor tonight in church all of this was a jumble. The contents of this blog are aggressive. Be strong, and bear with me. In the future I will write more and get much better at it. In the mean time, I will do my best.
As this is written know that this is for His Glory and I am just the bearer. This Easter Sunday I became a believer…

Don't ever be discouraged about sharing JESUS with someone!!!
For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! (1 Corinthians 9:16)
You never know how GOD ALMIGHTY is going to use you!!

I had such a hard time going to sleep last night. After dozing off once, I awoke with a little girl's face in my mind's eye. My husband and I had met her a couple of weeks before at church. This little girl (about 9 or 10 years old) is always with her little brother, Matthew, and her grandparents at church. Little Matthew is a budding artist, drawing all during services as he sits next to his Grandma and Grandpa, which is what drew my husband's attention. We love to watch the children during…

What is happening to America? What has happened to the “land of the free and the home of the brave…”? What happened to the Constitution of the United States? Whatever happened to the Bill of Rights, namely, Article the third [Amendment I]: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and… Continue

Easter was my day to come to the Lord. I had hated religion and everything to do with Christians, which also meant that I hated Christ. What an awful thing. I hadn't realized the damage I was doing and how far I had moved away from the Lord. After watching a drama about the crucifixion, I got to hear the shouts and jeers of the crowd that had been gathered around Jesus as he hung on the cross, and the black energy that poured from the hearts and minds of those gathered. I was appalled and my…

Subject: Fw: Fw: Darrel Scott - Rachel Scott's father (Columbine Tragedy)
Hope you enjoy this, taken from the heart of man. Daa Yooper's
Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders…

DEALING WITH MISSUNDERSTANDINGS
There are times in our lives when we have been judged wrongly, and there have been times when we also have judged some one else unfairly. The following story that took place in the book of Joshua exemplifies this so so well about misunderstandings.
“The people of Reuben, Gad, and East Manasseh went to Geliloth, near the Jordan River in the land of Canaan. There they built a… Continue

The times in which we live are serious and uncertain. A brief glimpse of the current news is merely a microcosm of what is occurring throughout our world. North Korea and Iran with their nuclear ambitions; Pirates off the coast of Somalia and their ongoing seizure of unarmed merchant vessels for financial gain; the declaration of Israel to Iran to Stop Nuclear development or they will be stopped; Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (escalating into Pakistan);… Continue

Pretty much how I am feeling lately...........
"14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint.
My heart has turned to wax;
it has melted away within me.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth;
you lay me [b] in the dust of death.
19 But you, O LORD, be not far off;
O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
2 Turn your ear to me,
come quickly to my…

Though not a parent myself, after a couple decades of observing, helping and counseling young adults and families, I've come to the conclusion that discipline is sadly lacking in both parents and children. New diseases and drugs have been invented to control behavior problems that used to be controlled by spanking. Spanking is now regarded as violence no matter what the behavior of the child. So, what do you do when reasoning and time outs don't work but you don't want to drug your child? This…

If you find that you are yelling and getting angry with your child more often than you would like, you may be looking at some ways to handle bad behavior in children. The first thing you need to keep in mind when you need to handle a behavior situation is that a child is a person. A child is a young adult that hasn't grown up yet. They know more and feel more than we can ever realize. Just the atmosphere in a home that is not at a high level can affect the child in ways that we do not know…
