There’s a lot of different strategies that the enemy uses to get us off track in our walk with God. But I think one of the enemy’s greatest tactics is a sequence I call, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Here’s how it works. The enemy…
"The hope which is laid up for you in heaven."
Colossians 1:5
Our hope in Christ for the future is the mainspring and the mainstay of our joy here. It will animate our hearts to think often of heaven, for all that we can desire is promised there. Here we are…

Spending time in the presence of the Lord produces a manifestation of Christ to a lost world.
“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not. But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight…

To be a member of God’s true Church, you must be known by the name of Jehovah Shammah—Hebrew for “The Lord is there” (Ezekiel 48:35). Others must be able to say of you, “It’s clear to me that the Lord is with this person. Every time I see him, I sense the presence of the Lord. His life truly reflects the glory and presence of God.”
If we are honest, we must admit we do not sense the Lord’s…

Posted: 23 May 2014 04:15 AM PDT I wrote a book a few years ago making a bold assertion: I have seen the sun stand still. I stand by it. I’ve seen God answer plenty of prayers with a miracle. I’ve seen people physically healed in a way that left doctors speechless. I’ve… |

I watched this YouTube video of an abortion counselor - oxymoron - who got pregnant & got an abortion. She was just all laughs & giggles trying to show the world that killing her baby was a good experience. I still don't know what to say about this. I had to just post the link because I couldn't post the video for whatever reason.

ACTS OF FAITH
by Gary Wilkerson
Once the apostle Peter was miraculously freed from prison (see Acts 12:7-11),
he went to the house of prayer to report the miracle to those who had been
interceding for him. As Peter knocked, the group was still fervently praying
inside. They had no idea how effective their prayers for their brother had
been.
Indeed,…
In my research of "self" & the studying of the destruction of depending on self instead of God, one of the most interesting words I have come across is self-abasement. The definition is a degradation or humiliation of oneself, especially because of feelings of guilt or inferiority. Voluntary self-punishment or humiliation in order to atone for some real or imagined wrongdoing. Self-abasement might have a religious aspect for those seeking humility before God.
Cutting is an example…

Nevertheless

I love that word.
I’m going to start using it more often.
I feel sluggish today.
Nevertheless, I’m going to get up and get going. Even if my progress is slow, I’m going to move forward.
I’m offended by what they said to me.
Nevertheless, I will choose to forgive, and refuse to become bitter. God’s done too much for me to stay stuck in this.
Nobody seems to…

There was this young boy sitting on a parked bench. He was reading the Bible when he shouted, "Wow!!! Praise God. He is so good." A passerby asked him what he was so excited about. He said, "I'm reading the story of Moses where God parted the waters so Israel could walk across." The man sat down & said, "Son, they have proven that back during those days, the Red Sea only had 10" of water so that's what made it possible for them to cross." The man got up & was proud of himself…
ContinueI was famous in China once. Well, not famous. But I was respected and admired.
When I was in college, I went with a mission team to China. We served hard during the day, but at night we would occasionally go to Chinese dance clubs just to experience the culture.
For some reason, everyone there thought we were amazing dancers. Mainly because we were American and the music was so old. In reality, we were horrible. And we knew it. We were performing old school dance moves that…

Everyone desires to be in God’s will. Sometimes we even talk about wanting to be in the perfect will of God.
But God’s perfect will might not look like what you think it should. We need to clear up what we mean by perfect. Otherwise we could completely miss out on God’s will altogether because we’ll be too busy chasing daydreams.
Our idea of perfect is perfect to us.
A perfect day to you might mean everything is going the way you…

I have several words in the Word that brings comfort & joy to my heart. “Holy” is one of those words. The very second we use the word “holy” in any song, I lose it. Holy is something we will never understand but yet are called to strive to be that way. Abide is a very comforting & soothing word as well. Behind the comfort stands the strong and precious Cross. The very strength that provides freedom for my very soul if I only trust and believe in the saving power of my first…

"Praying through" is a term coined by the early Pentecostals. To some it
meant simply staying on your knees until you were assured you had an answer
from God. To others it meant continually coming back to the Lord until you had
the answer in hand. (This was also called "persevering in prayer.")
As a young boy in those early camp meetings, I heard people testify, "I'm going
to lay hold of the horns…
As we get closer to the Resurrection Celebration I wanted to share this with you.
God is a God of "Re"
I've often wondered why an all-knowing God would even bother to create us. That is how much He loved us. He was willing to create us, knowing we would be destructive, knowing we would crush His very heart, even to the point of grief. If you have ever grieved over the loss of a dear loved one, you can somewhat understand His pain. However, He looked past…
