Abortion has become a "back burner" issue. People are concerned about their jobs, the economy, health care, terrorism, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and other issues. I understand that. My wife has been out of a job for over a year. I understand. And we have an administration in Washington that seems to me to be making things worse.
So why should anyone care about abortion? Because it is NOT just another issue. Babies are being murdered. 4,000 a day.
When people tell me…

A STEADFAST CONFIDENT HEART
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” ( Psalm 51:10 )
“My heart is confident, O God. My heart is confident. I want to sing and make music.” ( Psalm 57: 7)
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” ( Psalm112:7 )
When our heart is fixed and steadfast, it is then that we have set our hearts…

Acts 11:19-30 Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews. However, some of the believers who went to Antioch from Cyprus and Cyrene began preaching to the Gentiles about the Lord Jesus. The power of the Lord was with them, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord. When the church at Jerusalem heard what had…

Pro-choice groups:
Liberal and some mainline denominations: In general, these either promote a woman's right to choose an abortion, or are relatively silent on the matter. A number of liberal and mainline Christian and Jewish faith groups and organizations have publicly stated that abortions are sometimes an acceptable option, and should remain legal. According to lists prepared by The Secular Web and the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, they include, in alphabetic…

It was Albert Einstein who said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Killing children has been legal in this country for 36 years, since 1973. 50 million children have been slaughtered in the aborton mills. We keep doing the same thing over and over and nothing changes.
In the early 1990s we used direct action to try and stop the killing and for awhile I believe we were winning. The pro-aborts and the killers were scared of us.…

Soul Food: Stop playing God !!!
Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things—Matthew 6:34
I had never thought of worry as a form of taking on God’s responsibility. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that worry, in its naked form, comes close to doing just that! I remember I put a posting in our wall this slogan which I also get from my reading materials. it says : DO… Continue

Good Morning. Yesterday, in seeking to make sense of growth in Christianity down through the centuries, I took a simplified look at Christian denominations, and some of their unique beliefs. Several days ago, I wrote about six different Scriptural styles for sharing our faith--giving us the freedom to use our own natural bents and creativity for telling others about Jesus Christ. . . all of which is important. . . but, even more important is knowing what you believe as a Christian. When I was a…

When ever it comes to the issue of destiny, the determining factor is the foundation or background of the individual. No man is an nisland. You are a product of your family background. Each family or lineage is an entity. What we see or know, most of the time, are the members who make up the family. But unknown to most people , every family has a spiritual gate. This gate hovers around every individual member like a dark cloud. consequently, the destiny of every member of the lineage is…

But, with a court system that sides with a father, and a social services system that enables them, and a society that without error believes in the one-sidedness of any relationship dispute…what recourse is there but to leave?
I will always be there for my daughter. But, should I risk a man who assaulted me, run the risk that he learned his lesson about admitting he assaulted me to the police? I am by far against physical or emotional abuse of any sort, and was my life worth nothing,…

Soul Food: Having the scariest challenge in life: How do we call our GOD?
Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice… Continue

Introduction: Ronald Reagan, while sitting as the fortieth president of the United States, sent to The Human Life Foundation this article shortly after the tenth anniversary of Roe v. Wade. The essay was printed it the Spring, 1983 of the
Human Life Review.
The 10th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade is a good time for us to pause and reflect. Our nationwide policy of abortion-on-demand through all nine months of pregnancy was neither voted for by our…

Various organizations and individuals have issued statements following the shooting death of George Tiller. Like I said in an earlier blog post, there isn't much difference between so-called "pro-lifers" who condemned the killing of George Tiller and the pro-aborts who also condemned the killing of George Tiller.
Kansans for Life deplores the murder of Dr. George Tiller --Mary Kay Culp, state executive director, Kansans for Life.
The National Right to Life extends…

What's the difference between the so-called "pro-life" groups who opposed the killing of late-term abortionist George Tiller and the pro-abortion groups who opposed the killing of George Tiller?
NOTHING! NOT ONE THING! The mainstream pro-life organizations continue to fail to recognize the difference between the murder of unborn children and the stopping by forceful direct action of a murderer who made a living out of butchering human beings. Tiller was a mass murderer who butchered over…

Proverbs 12:18 (MSG) Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise.
Change has been a hot topic recently and change is at least painful and at worst potentially destructive.
Positive change in our relationships takes intentionality. People are sometimes “destroyed” by what is said and how it is said as they spontaneously react negatively to the change.
The wise leader recognizes the various impacts of change on the team…
