The Lion That Said “Baa”
by Jack Klumpenhower

I admire certain world leaders and sports heroes, and I’ve had some bosses I respected and worked hard for. But few of these people are approachable. Greatness and authority breed distance. I’m more comfortable with ordinary people.
Jesus, of course, is anything but ordinary, as the symbolic images in the book of Revelation show.
The Lion
In chapter 5, all of heaven is looking for…

.Abiding in the Vine
By Lahry Sibley
Jesus said in…..
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
What a statement to make and what does it tell us? First of all, Jesus says that “I am the vine”, “I” being Himself. There are not many vines, not many ways, not many plans for salvation, only one. Jesus the Christ (Messiah, Anointed One). Anything…

Every now and then a song comes around that is a clear indication that the Holy Spirit is guiding the work of those that have surrendered their lives as an offering to our Lord Jesus Christ. As I listen to this song and as I review the lyrics, I see powerful written statements. The lyrics remind me of the wisdom that King Solomon shared with us in the inspired scripture of Proverbs. One point that is emphasized in the Casting Crowns song is that the path to destruction is a slow "step-by-step"…

Today's passage - Acts 24.1-21 - Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: "We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. But in…

JESUS UNDER OUR NOSES
Has anyone ever considered that Jesus may be around us all the time? When Jesus came 2000 years ago, most did not recognize Him. Have you considered that what you are looking for is all around you every day? Do you see Him? Have you seen Him?
I'm not talking about some smoked filled room with flashing lights and thunder rolling, beloved. I'm talking about Jesus. He is often right under our noses, and we esteem Him not.
"What do you mean, Lahry"?…

Count Your Blessings
If you own just one Bible, you are abundantly blessed. One-third of all the world does not have access to even one.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the…

This blog is written for only Christians who are saved through the name and the blood of Jesus.
Have you ever gotten something you did not deserve :) and then wondered, what happened here ? This happened to me.
Going back to when I was 20 years old and I was looking for a job. Here I was sitting in the office of the boss of this company where I applied, I was being interviewed and was asked so many different questions including my political idiology. One of the questions…

What is "an unhallowed compromise"? Barnes' Notes defines it as "an attempt to blend things together which could not be united. One must really displace the other."
The question is - are you trying to blend something into your life which God is telling you to renounce? You know that you cannot hold onto this belief much longer, but you are afraid of persecution or what it will cost you in the end. It's time to let go! It's time to embrace the "cross of Christ" and allow God to take…

Proverbs 12:16
NIV A fool shows his annoyance at once,
but a prudent man overlooks an insult.
KJV A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
Self-control is a characteristic of wisdom. When we react too quickly and with annoyance, it makes us look foolish.
When we take the time to listen, answer with patience, and overlook insults, we act wisely.
Instead…

Good morning to all and God Bless!!!
While I was at work yesterday my boss asked me if God can do all things why would he have his only son come to earth and be killed for our sins after all God doesn't need us because he's supposed to be God who can do all...He is always negative and has smart comments about God and also told me not to tell people to have a blessed day,It really bothers me and I always defend God and try to explain to him why we need God but he always has something smart…

What happens when we forsake refreshment for pride? What happens when Godly brothers miss God's will and divide?
Sometimes, in the middle of good works being done by Godly brothers in the Lord, disputes and disagreements can arise. How do we handle that? What does Jesus want us to do, when two good people disagree sharply enough to part ways? Should we accept that, and just split up? Or is there a higher call for us, as Christians – as disciples of the master, to live…

"Merchandise is a good thing in the exchange, but not in the temple." - Matthew Henry
"Great corruptions in the Church owe their rise to the love of money."
"In reformation, it is good to make thorough work; He (Jesus) drove them all out; and not only threw out the money, but, in overturning the tables, threw out the trade also."
- both quotes are from Matthew Henry
In John 2:17, we read of the Lord Jesus - "...The zeal of Thine house hath eaten Me up." This…
