LORD I COME BEFORE YOU WITH MY HEART FILLED WITH PAIN

HOW I LONG TO SEE THE SUN SHINE INSTEAD OF ALL THIS RAIN

I REALLY HAVE BEEN TRYING BUT I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND

I'M SO DEEP IN THIS VALLEY YET I KNOW I'M IN YOUR HAND

THE THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE TO ME WERE CRUEL AND…

WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING I TRIED TO CLEAR MY HEAD

I HAD A DREAM SO VIVID I SAT RIGHT UP IN BED

I DREAMED THE LORD KNOCKED ON MY DOOR AS I WELCOMED HIM INSIDE…

Sometimes it's all I can do to take another step

Then God reminds me gently of the promises He's kept

At times I want to say I quit I've had all I can take

It's hard to take…
