First Grade Logic

First Grade Logic

A 1st grade school teacher had twenty-six students in her class. She presented each child in her classroom the 1st half of a well-known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb.

It's hard to believe these were actually done by first graders. Their insight may surprise you. While reading, keep in mind that these are first-graders, 6-year-olds, because the last one is a classic!

1. Don't change horses

What's Up With Her?

What's Up With Her?

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to take a close look at herself. Not at her circumstance, not at what she did, not how unfair life is, or not at whom made you do it. She has to just look at herself in all her glory and imperfection.

Have you ever admired a woman who has been through changes in her life? Or have you made up in your mind that she is just messed up. Before you make this mistake, take a closer look. A woman… Continue

Kariema's Daily Thought! Think About It

Kariema's Daily Thought! Think About It

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.

Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.

Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.

He had no army, yet kings feared Him..

He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.

He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

If you believe in God… Continue

Vineyards That Bear Fruit

Vineyards That Bear Fruit

John 15:1-16

Jesus the True Vine

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are… Continue

JESUS IS COMING SOON - HOW SOON?

James said, "The Lord's coming is near." Peter said, "the end of all things is near." John said, "This is the last hour." In the last book of the Bible and the last chapter, three times Jesus said, "Yes, I am coming soon." But we're already into the year 2008 and He still hasn't come. And again we're faced with the question: how soon is soon?

The first sign is based on Matthew 24:14, and you know that verse very well.we all learned it as children: And this gospel of the kingdom shall be… Continue

Seize The Moment

Seizing the Opportunity Wherever You Are

And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:20 (KJV)

God has been so good to you that you shouldn't be a closet Christian. On the contrary, you should preach everywhere that Jesus is Lord. Everybody on the job should know you are saved, because you don't hide your Christianity. You are not afraid to bow your head and pray over your lunch. With… Continue

CHANGE

From My Perspective - - -

In the political climate of our time, “CHANGE” appears in speeches of the candidates, as well as on Posters in their audience, or on the Podium being used. Do most people know what the “CHANGE” is that they are promoting? How do they define the “CHANGE” they are hoping will occur? Is it “change” in the sense that Democrats will replace Republicans? Is in “Change” in terms of who is taxed and who receives re-distribution of wealth as an additional benefit…

BLAME and SHAME

From My Perspective - - -

Charlie Reese, a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper, has written: “Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, we have deficits?

“Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal…

Who is your Daddy???

Who is your Daddy???

(Romans 8:15)

When we were children of the world, we may have known or not who this individual was or is. We may have met them in person or not, Maybe we did and they did not meet or expectations of what a Father should be. Those of us that were blessed to have the good Lord take them before we had a chance to meet them. Praise God! Some of us in the Body of Christ only know of Him. They have never touched our lives or us, physically or Spiritually. And some how… Continue

The power in the Name

Three men at Nayon Pilipino Park, are having their prayer and fasting when suddenly they saw a young ice cream vendor running scared from a mad dog chase. upon spotted by one of the three brothers, He shouted In JESUS Name with one hand streached to where the dog is. It was like a remote control, like a cold ice water poured to that dog, at the very instance, the dog stop!., was like the dog droped his penny, and now looking around,an amnisia attact,.Thats how powerful the Name Jesus is. Amen.

A Trillion Here - A Trillion There

From My Perspective - - -

Several years ago, a crusty US Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois was known to have said: “A million here and a million there – soon we’ll be talking about real money.” One wonders what he might say if he was alive today. A Billion here and a Billion there – soon it will be a Trillion or more. In the midst of the government “bailout” (albeit they would like to use the word “rescue”), one of the benefactors of the Government’s Distribution of monies was…

Gods wonderfull works....

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier

hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't

have enough money to buy this doll.'

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him:

''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?''

The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't

have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she… Continue

The "BAIT" In The Debates

From My Perspective - - -

Political Campaigns are too long for most people… Three of the candidates in this election cycle are United States Senators who are receiving a current salary of $169,300.00 (with a standard increase of 2.5% during January of each year). According to the Government Research Service of the Library of Congress, the following is stated: “Congress is required by Article I, Section 6, of the Constitution to determine its own pay. Prior to 1969, Congress did so…

do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits 1jn4:1

For this reason I tell you: people can be forgiven any sin and any evil thing they say; but whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

Many people worry about this verse. It speaks of an unpardonable sin, but for whom? This warning is actually spoken by Jesus in the context of the evil deception and eternal opposition of the demonic realm towards the true work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus seems particularly determined to reassure us of God's persevering… Continue

A.C.O.R.N. And Other NUTS

From My Perspective - - -

Up until this current election cycle, most of us had never heard of the Political Group A.C.O.R.N. or what its mission is for a select group of people. ACORN (www.acorn.org), the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, is the nation's largest community organization of low and moderate income families, working together for social justice and stronger communities. Since 1970, ACORN has grown to more than 350,000 member families, organized in…

Hermeneutics

Hermeneutics

1. Learn the native tongue in which one reads his/her Bible, For example master the English language if the Bible is to be read in English, Spanish, Etc.

2. Give the same literal meanings to words, and apply to the Bible the same rules of grammar, figures of speech, types, symbols, allegories, parables, poetry, prophecy, history, and all other forms of human expression if they were found outside the Bible.

3. Learn the… Continue

Lost and Confused

I am looking to find out more about Believers Baptism. I've read the passages in the Bible (via the net) but am still confused - as a Catholic I was raised that Baptism was a rite of initation. Now I'm learning that there is more to it. Was I wrong to believe in how I was raised? Was I wrong for having my children Baptized in the Faith? And as I look more into this, am I still honoring my father and my mother? - as I feel if I move forward that I'd be indirectly telling them that they were… Continue
