The table is set for your thanksgiving feast
and all have taken their place
The meal of the year, is finally here,
and oh, how great it will taste..
Potatoes and gravy and cranberry sauce,
and rolls that are made fresh and hot.
Turkey with stuffing, right out of the oven.
Pumpkin pie that hasn’t been bought.
Your family is anxiously gathered around…

For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20
Christianity is not moral platitudes, lofty intentions, and noble thoughts. The fundamental characteristic of God's kingdom is power. Paul faced constant criticism about his work among the early churches. Some of his…

Have you ever hedged a bet before? To minimize a loss, you bet on the flip side, to cover that possible loss. You may protect yourself from loss, but you also lessen the gain. You may not be gambling however, I wounder how often we do this with, Father God. We Pray to the Lord, and release Faith yet, we will begin to do things (just in case) to help things along. There are the obvious one such as, wanting peace, or relief from…

It is almost Thanksgiving Day, so I’ve been thinking … we know it is a time to stop and say “thank you”—but, why should we give thanks? Why do we make a special day out of the year, and close more retail shops than any other day of the year, for the purpose of giving thanks? Because a long time ago, we Americans were thankful people.
Pilgrims first came together on American soil in 1621 to thank God for helping them bring in a…

Blessed am I You call me Your own
Blessed am I to me, Your Light was shown
Worthy, no I'm not
But grateful Your Blood has bought
my soul
So blessed am I
So blessed am I
Blessed am I that when I fall
Your loving Voice gently calls
“Do not be afraid for I am here.”
“You're never far from Me, don't fear.”
So blessed am I
So blessed am I
Blessed am I that for me
You hung…

The Heavens Opened: Part 10
By Anna Rountree
(Continuation)
Obedience
The angel sat cross-legged on the ground playing a golden flute. Her hair was a rich auburn and plaited into seven large loops that were interlaced with gold. She wore a gossamer green under tunic bound with a golden girdle, and a cloak with long sleeves, which was also green.
Within the sleeves of the outer garment were oversized pockets containing all manner of…

We are entering the season of “Immanuel” – “God with us”. We have been talking about being more keenly aware of God’s presence in our lives, understanding his promise to us, his children, that he will never leave us or forsake us. God will never leave us alone. But, what about in our pain? What about in times of suffering … where is God…

True Friends Strengthen and Help Each Other
Ecclesiastes 4:9–12
Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two…

How awesome is it to be in a place where we see multitudes, (communities) huge numbers of people being devoted disciples of Jesus. How cool is it to have lots of Rick Warren, John Piper, John Bevere as neighbors. It's just like…

Acts 5:1-11
The Story of Ananias and Sapphira
Tells us to not keep something for ourselves which do not belong to us. The fact that as long as we are in this world, everything is temporary, we don't own anything, not even our own lives, right?
We can't hide nor we should lie to Him, consequence is DEATH. He can't be mocked.
To God be glory forever and ever!

Went to our weekly "Light of the World" meeting last night...We learn to evangelize...We learn to spread the word to others in our communities. Last night we broke off into three groups...We're going to start meeting together in our homes as smaller groups before we go into our community...First we must learn of each other, our hopes, and our…

The design of what follows is plain. It is to exalt our views respecting the blessings Christ has procured for us, by comparing them with the evil which followed upon the fall of our first father; and by showing that these blessings not only extend to the removal of these evils, but far beyond. Adam sinning, his nature became guilty and corrupted, and so came to his children. Thus in him all have sinned. And death is by sin; for death is the wages of sin. Then entered…

Let us be of one mind, and ready to help each other. as we follow the example of Jesus Christ Let us seek to give assurance that our names are written in the book of life. Joy in God is of great consequence in the Christian life; we need to be again and again called to it. It more than outweighs all causes for sorrow. Let their enemies perceive how moderate they were as to outward things, and how composedly they suffered loss and hardships. The day of judgment will soon arrive, with full…

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” - Matthew 17:20 Here we see one man asking Jesus Christ to heal his son. He tells that His disciples could not heal him. When Christ rebuked the devil, the son got healed. The disciples, went…

When I was confused and don't know what to do, Jesus has shown me once again which road to take.
First of all, I would like to Praise Jesus for His goodness and unfailing love! Truly He is glorious and without Him, I am nothing!
I just felt what they say that we are just a speck of a dust. When I get down on my knees to praise Him, I just felt how little I am but despite of it all, He embraces me and forgives my sin. Knowing that He died for my sins is enough for me. And it is…
