1 John 3:16-18 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Here in Israel we have an interesting…

This is really pathetic: This is simply a case of people not wanting to acknowledge our God, and their need for His Salvation:
Three churches in Phoenix have brought a legal action against the city because one pastor already has been convicted and other churches are being threatened over the "noise" from their bells, some of which have rung out to the community for decades.
The lawsuit has been filed by the Alliance Defense Fund on behalf of St. Mark Roman Catholic Parish,…

I found this on World Net Daily and wanted to share it here. This is how bad it's getting: It's really hard to believe.
A San Diego pastor and his wife claim they were interrogated by a county official and warned they will face escalating fines if they continue to hold Bible studies in their home.
The couple, whose names are being withheld until a demand letter can be filed on their behalf, told their attorney a county government employee knocked on their door on Good…

Ever been in a situation where you know things are happening, or you know that you are doing things but you also know that what is happening is not controlled by you?
I've heard stories of people saying: it was like something or some-one else was pulling the strings. I've always took such tales with a pinch of salt, because as we all know, human nature is to exagerate the facts somewhat. I've never discounted such tales as outright lies, but I always employed a healthy dose of sceptisism…

"Still a saint he must be, one whose vocation it is to be holy, and who strives daily to obey the Divine voice within him saying 'Sin not, sin not, sin not,' or he can have no interest in the Saviour's righteousness." - Biblical Illustrator - New Testament
"Let that be your aim, to 'sin not.' Let it be your fixed purpose, not merely that you are to sin as little as you can, but that you are not to sin at all."
"But not only would I have you to make this your aim, I WOULD…

Job 13: 15, ” Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him….”
I Peter 4: 12, 13, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
James 1: 2, 3, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of… Continue

Cell Phones vs. Bible I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our Cell phones. What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we flipped through it several times a day? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to kids as gifts? What if we used it as we traveled? What if… Continue

MAY GOD BE GLORIFIED AS YOU READ THIS STORY! BE ENCOURAGED!!
"All things work together for good to those that love God and are called according to His purpose."
And someone has said that the more bitter the battle, the sweeter is the victory. This has definitely been the case for my friend,
Pastor Atukwatse Onesmus, over the…

Word from God too His People. From Corinthians. 13: 1-8 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my…

"It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." (Psalm 118:8-9, Amp.)
I know I shared these verses before, and that verse 8 is the middle verse in the Bible, but this morning, after mentioning about giants yesterday, my thoughts went back to David and Goliath.…

It isn't easy to get baptized in the desert, especially if you're of the persuasion that believes in being baptized by being immersed in water. Our daughter-in-law grew up in one of those areas without much water, so she got baptized in a horse trough - minus the horse of course. Some Marines in Iraq got baptized in a small brick chapel, in a rubber dinghy filled with water. A young corporal was one of those. He decided to get baptized as his unit was preparing to attack the insurgent…

"Should Christians judge the teachings of their leaders?"
Answer: As Christians, we are commanded against following teachers blindly, but are told rather to “Test everything; hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). The apostle Peter warns us in 2 Peter 2:1-3 that there will be false teachers in our day just as there were false teachers in his day. Among their false teachings is a denial of the sufficiency of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross to take away sin, which is a…

Dear saints,
I know I'm not the only one that "Eliab" has tried to destroy. Oh I could write a book on this.
My wife and I visited a dear sister and brother for a day and a night. They encouraged us so. What God spoke into my heart while there, was a clear message in my spirit, but I had difficulty in putting it into words. Since February, God has been telling me things, then directly sending someone to me with a message of confirmation and then confirming it also in His…

I just came in from feeding and watering my animals. It often dawns on me that I am to them what God my Father is to me. The animals depend on me for shelter, food, water and love. In the same fashion, I depend on Father for the same things. He feeds me, He walks with me, He shelters me and more. I know that I must be the "alpha" to them. Especially, with my dogs. They have a pack mentality. I am the leader of their pack. They follow me and know my voice, just I know the voice of God and follow…

Do you have a Bible?
Many of us will say, "Yes, I have a number of Bibles on my bookshelf."
And some will say, "No, but I want one so much."
But I have another question....
DO YOU HAVE GOD'S WORD?
The Bible is a wonderful possession, and full of wonderful truths,
but what good would all that be to us if it remained on the shelf?
And even a Bible in our hand will not help us win against…

Well, Good Day. . .
It took extreme courage on Paul's part to do what he believed was God's will for him. Perhaps all of the groundwork I have laid about surrender, trust, and wanting to know God's will for your life. . . all sounds good. . . intellectually. The problem comes in the doing, and sometimes in the 'not doing'. . . but the waiting for God's direction--waiting for God to come and rescue you. Perhaps this inspirational story will paint a picture in your mind, and give you…

There is a company of people who long to overcome everything that is contrary to God and His Word. Are you a part of that group? Read this message to find out if you fit its description.
"When the ancient Spartans marched into battle, they advanced with cheerful songs, willing to fight. But when the Persians entered the conflict, you could hear, as the regiments came on, the crack of whips by which the officers drove the cowards to the fray. No wonder that a few Spartans were more…
