I see people who claim to be Christians making a pretense of their own goodness, this usually leads to
existance in a small community of the same. I suppose it seems easier to pretend righteousness than to Love
those around us in our communities. Community includes those who are destitute, hungry, poor, violent, criminals,
addicts, homeless, different from you and me. Jesus commanded we love others, I know that means all others.
Have a nice day and love your neighbors…

A FAITH THAT WORKS THROUGH LOVE
2 PETER 1: 1-9
In 2 Peter chapter two Peter shares a some remarkable things about how to live out the Christian life. In verse three he says that Jesus has the power of God, by which He has given us everything we need to live for, and serve God. He goes on to say that we have these provisions because we know Him because Jesus called us by his glorious goodness.
In…

"Sin makes men cowards." - Matthew Henry
"Fear argues a degenerate soul." - Virgil
"The consciousness of atrocious crimes astonishes and confounds." - Juvenal
The devil and the world want us - as Christians - to believe that we are really missing out in life by serving Jesus. Everywhere we turn, we are confronted with the images that seem to portray the fact that the Lifestyle of Sin is the Best way - the "cool" Life - the place of fun, happiness, great…

In the modern world, there is a tendency to get bored with things very quickly, especially anything stale or old. It is more tempting than ever before to give up on anything traditional or "tried and true" because we have access to so many new things all the time.
In the business world, there is a constant trend toward innovation and change. There is a whole field of work to manage that concept - called "Change Management", which helps ease a company through all of the impact of any…

Malachi 3:3 says: ‘He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver ‘
This verse puzzled some women in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God.
One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their Bible study.
That week, the womon called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn’t mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond…

Please pray for my friend Darla. She has been sick with acute bronchitis and the medicines don't seem to be helping her. She's been to the doctor several times and even the emergency room. They did swine flu tests and they came back negative. She has been running a fever of 102.

Acts 24.22-27 - Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way, adjourned the proceedings. ☗ "When Lysias the commander comes," he said, "I will decide your case."☗ He ordered the centurion to keep Paul under guard but to give him some freedom and permit his friends to take care of his needs. Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess. He sent for Paul and listened to him as he spoke about faith in Christ Jesus. As Paul discoursed on righteousness, self-control and…

"Every Christian is a living temple of the living God. God dwelt in the Jewish temple, took possession of it, and resided in it, by that glorious cloud that was the token of His presence with that people. So Christ by His Spirit dwells in all true believers. The temple was devoted and consecrated to God, and set apart from every common to a holy use, to the immediate service of God. So all Christians are separated from common uses, and set apart for God and his service." - Matthew…

MY KING!
author unknown
The Bible says my King is a seven way King. He's the King of the Jews, that’s a racial King. He's the King of Israel, that’s a national King. He's the King of Righteousness. He's the King of the ages. He's the King of the Heavens. He's the King of Glory. He's the King of Kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That’s My King! I wonder do you know Him?
David said the Heavens declare the Glory of God and the firmament shows of His handiwork. My King is a…

A real Christian Loves God and Loves people in Jesus name. I do not debate what sin is, the book of Revelation, or
what the devil is up to. There are things I know and things I believe. Jesus said Love God with all your heart, mind, soul,
and strength, and love others as yourself. There are other commandments in the Bible and those all fulfill Love.
I can watch the Simpsons as long as I love God and love people.
I heard a man at my church the other day say, "How can…

The Word of God is like a lion. You don’t have to defend a lion. All you have to do is let the lion loose, and the lion will defend itself.” – Charles Spurgeon
Study The Scripture Like The Bereans
Anyone can make a claim about God or the Bible, but that does not mean they spoke the truth! As Christians, we need to learn how to study the Bible from the Bereans and become students of the Bible, searching and investigating the various claims that are spoken of…

The Lion That Said “Baa”
by Jack Klumpenhower
7/3/2006
I admire certain world leaders and sports heroes, and I’ve had some bosses I respected and worked hard for. But few of these people are approachable. Greatness and authority breed distance. I’m more comfortable with ordinary people.
Jesus, of course, is anything but ordinary, as the symbolic images in the book of Revelation show.
The Lion
In chapter 5, all of heaven is looking for…

.Abiding in the Vine
By Lahry Sibley
Jesus said in…..
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
What a statement to make and what does it tell us? First of all, Jesus says that “I am the vine”, “I” being Himself. There are not many vines, not many ways, not many plans for salvation, only one. Jesus the Christ (Messiah, Anointed One). Anything…

Every now and then a song comes around that is a clear indication that the Holy Spirit is guiding the work of those that have surrendered their lives as an offering to our Lord Jesus Christ. As I listen to this song and as I review the lyrics, I see powerful written statements. The lyrics remind me of the wisdom that King Solomon shared with us in the inspired scripture of Proverbs. One point that is emphasized in the Casting Crowns song is that the path to destruction is a slow "step-by-step"…

Today's passage - Acts 24.1-21 - Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: "We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. But in…

JESUS UNDER OUR NOSES
Has anyone ever considered that Jesus may be around us all the time? When Jesus came 2000 years ago, most did not recognize Him. Have you considered that what you are looking for is all around you every day? Do you see Him? Have you seen Him?
I'm not talking about some smoked filled room with flashing lights and thunder rolling, beloved. I'm talking about Jesus. He is often right under our noses, and we esteem Him not.
"What do you mean, Lahry"?…
