It hasn’t been that long ago that I learned I have Jewish ancestry. My parents joked about it so I didn’t take the rumors seriously. On my dad’s mother’s side of the family, they fled from Germany and left everything behind. We have no heirlooms/relics to remind us of who we are. It’s like an ancestral amnesia.
