In one of my favorite Andy Griffith Show episodes, a visiting pastor tells the congregation to “Slow down. What's your hurry?” The citizens of Mayberry tried so hard to slow down, they wore themselves out.
We should slow down from time to time and take in all of God's beauty and…

Growth in the Lord is vital. It begins with faith and then culminates into love for others. To keep growing we need to know and focus our total mind on our God. We need to keep following him and continual to remember what he is teaching us from his Holy word. Let us remain diligent in a faithful obedience to our God.

Outside the Windy City
lives the Lady Finnegan -
Carol dearly loves the Lord Jehovah
and is a part of His earthly plan.
Her heart has been pierced
by God's Holy Spirit;
for she placed her life before Him
and has chosen to submit.
Her adoration for the King
has burst forth with heart's joy,
from reading her great nephew's literature
within the borders of Illinois.
Now she's become God's messenger
via her gifts of Joe's…

Heaven, Hell & the Condition of Today's Church
By Rodolfo Acevedo Hernandez
Because I didn’t want to remain in the same spiritual condition I was in, I locked myself into my church for eight days. Eight days of fasting and praying, locked in with the Lord Jesus Christ. Before I started those eight days with the Lord, He told me through a vision, “Rodolfo, it’s time…

That the apostle might the better dispose these Christians to bear with him in the reproofs which he was obliged to give them, he here expresses his great affection to them, and the very tender concern he had for their welfare: he was not like them - one thing when among them and another when absent from them. Their disaffection to him had not removed his affection from them; but he still bore the same respect to them which he had formerly done, nor was he like their false teachers, who…

Nehemiah’s life is an example of leadership and organization. Nehemiah gave up a comfortable and wealthy position in Persia to return to his fractured homeland of his ancestors Israel. He rallied his fellow country men to rebuild Jerusalem’s wall. In the face of fierce opposition, he used wise defense measures to care for God’s people and kept the project going on up to its completion. More for the sake of Gods kingdom we must pray, persevere, and sacrifice as did his servant Nehemiah.

Beware of the treachery of others. Invest your time with people of integrity. Listen to the wisdom of your commander. Don’t embrace the wisdom of the world. Worldly desires will lead us away from God. We have freedom to live morally, not freedom to sin. God will not ignore sins. Examine ourselves to see where we are.

Good afternoon to all the brothers and sisters. When i joined AAG two days ago, the reality dawned on me that we are living in the most exciting times ever.Pastoring in a little town in South africa can sometimes make you feel like Elijah "all alone" It was so refreshing to be able to ,at the click of some keys be able to communicate with the children of God far and wide.God is doing amazing things in the end of the harvest field where i am placed, communicating with all of you is just a…

Without any special preparations, education, background, or upbringing, Amos the servant of God obeyed his call to go to prophesy to Gods people Israel. Obedience is the test of a faithful servant of God. Are we also obeying our creator?

To all my brothers and sisters on AAG,
My apologies for not responding to your postings that I receive from time to time and also for not joining in on the chat room like I used to. The last couple of months have been both busy and most of all, uplifting. God has now started to answer my prayers, (and there has been many) and my involvement in our church has increased somewhat to say the least.
As some of you know, I am one of several techies that help to run the PA and…

Pride makes us self – centered and leads us to conclude that that we deserve all we can see, truth, or imagine. It creates greedy appetites for far more than we need. We can be released from our self – centered desires by humbling ourselves before God, realizing that all we really need is Gods approval. When the Holy Spirit fills us we see that these worlds’ seductive attractions are only cheap substances for what God has to offer. Things seen are temporal than things not seen.

I wonder how many people will delete this without reading it because of the title. It is a shame but this message is very true. Hope you are all as blessed as I was by this story.
There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the Church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to…

To ignore God’s love and guidance results in Sin and invites his wrath. If we walk by our own wisdom and reject Gods we become self – sufficient and the result of self – sufficient is sufficient torment. When we place confidence in our own intelligence, appearance, or accomplishments instead of God we risk torment later when these strengths fade away because the always do and the will do for you can escape it or deny it.
