I would like to talk about ‘Friendship’ today. Friendship is something greater, deeper, and more vital than mere companionship. Today men are frequently traveling companions, companions in work, in play, and even in the apostolate. One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter.
