Today's sermon was everything but boring! Paster Ken preached form the inside of a small boat!
The hole point he was giving use went back to the disciple in the middle of The Sea of Galilee, Where Jesus asked Peter to trust him and step out of the boat. Peter was the only one to put his trust in the Lord.
The point was, A great manny of us say we are followers of Christ but yet we wont leave our comfort zone (our boat) We should surrender ourself to the Lord for he will comfort…

The Significance of Jesus Christ.
As the breakaway Presbyterian Churches accept homosexuality as a good life style, they are also considering the Significance of Jesus Christ and His word.
As far as prophecy goes, is this significant, or a look into the future of all churches?
This is not a message about homosexuality, but rather a study on the end of the righteousness of many churches.
First we must ask ourselves a few questions and find…

Good Morning.
May I direct our attention back to Acts 2? Go ahead--picture the 120 gathered together, and filled with the Spirit--they begin to speak in unknown languages--unknown to them but not to the Jewish pilgrims who had traveled to Jerusalem to observe Pentecost. A crowd gathers and hears the good news of the Gospel told in their own tongue--nothing short of amazing. Some, however, accuse the messengers of being drunk. Peter will not stand for that! Please open your Bibles,…

Its hard to get up everytime we get pushed down,
all we can do is try, and push ourselfs to the limit,
and take a stand in what we belive is right,
to fight as a team is great, but sometimes we must stand alone,
aginst all fears, and all others that stand in our way,
if I were to die and go home today,
I would know I tryed my best in life,
I had fun, I laughed, I cryed, I loved and then lost,
life is short we must forgive thoese who have pushed us…

Tears
there are many types of tears,
tears of hope that you will allways be in my arms,
tears of joy wakeing up with you by my side everyday,
tears of fear fear of rejection, hurtful tears, you not needing me and loving me the way I need you and Love you.
tears of pain like 18 wheels of steel rolling down my face.
but the tears that you bring to my eyes are tears of love to comfort my heart.

You made me laugh when I wanted to cry,
you offerd a comforting hand to hold,
you picked me up whenever I feel,
you showed me heaven when i was blinded by hell,
you gave me reason to hold on and fight,
you saved me when I was drowning in pain,
you enered my heart as an angel to guide,
you are the though the dark and though the light.
I love you so much my bestest friend.

BITTERNESS TOWARD OBEDIENCE
An F16 fighter jet is an amazing aircraft with incredible capabilities. But there is one thing that a jet pilot requires above all else. That the aircraft reacts completely to his control. If it were to have "a mind of its own" regardless of how remarkable that might sound, it would end up doing as much flying as a door stop.
In the same vein, even if we had all the gifting under the sun, God as…

It is truly spring outside today. The birds are singing, the crocus and tulips have been up for better than two weeks, and the colors are dazzling. Why, then, am I having such inner struggles? I started volunteering at a local hospital last week, and although newly joined, was nominated the Auxillary Club's new secretary for the next two years. I was the only person that seemed to have the interest and the energy of spirit for the job. It seems that only older women (and one man) feel the need…

I have been wondering how can we be Christians if we sit and judge others and say a new person in Christ should not be friends with someone the church as a whole has determined to be sinning; are we all not sinners ? We are only to be saved by the grace of God.......we are not perfect ,we can omly strive to be Christ like....yet we shall always fall short.God alone will see into our hearts and see our true selves.I say do as Christ said love your neighbors and also love your enemies ;maybe your…

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver, and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."
Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the…

"How precious are your thoughts
concerning me, O God!
How vast in number they are!
If I try to count them,
there would be more of them
than there are grains of sand.
When I wake up, I am still with you."
~Psalm 139: 13-18

When a large crowd had gathered and people had come to Jesus from every city, he used this story as an illustration:
"A farmer went to plant his seeds. Some seeds were planted along the road, were trampled, and were devoured by birds. Others were planted on rocky soil. When the plants came up, they withered because they had no moisture. Others were planted among thornbushes. The thornbushes grew up with them and choked them. Others were planted on good ground. When they came…

Do you recognize when people or things shift in your life? Do you embrace it or do you do your best to keep things the way they were?
Think about when you’re driving your car, you have to shift those gears to either go forward or backwards. If those gears don’t shift you don’t move, you stall out, you can’t reach your desired destination. When you refuse to shift you refuse to grow.
This is what happens when God causes a shift in our lives. We start to feel… Continue

From one end of the Bible to the other there's a record of those whose prayers have been answered... people who fervently prayed and God answered!
Pray for people who are lost -- people who do not know Jesus as their Savior (Romans 10:1, 1 Timothy 2:1-4)!

Good Morning.
"What is the deal with tongues?" is a question I have been asked a number of times; perhaps as a way of describing the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues, I will tell you about my exposure and experience with this gift. When I was 11 years old, my friend invited me to go to church with her at the First Assembly of God. I loved the upbeat feeling when we sang hymns; why, people even clapped their hands! Believe me, it was quite a departure from the Baptist church to…

Good Morning.
We leave our index finger on the page of Acts 2 to consider an important footnote. In yesterday's Morning Briefing, the Holy Spirit descended to rest upon and take residence within the Jewish Christians gathered together in Jerusalem. In obedience to Jesus, they had stayed together, waiting and praying for this gift that Jesus had promised--the Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity. Do not be confused, the Holy Spirit has always been, but He had not inhabited…
