Breakfast Prayer

My children have found that they really like this breakfast prayer.......

Dear Father in Heaven

We thank you for this breakfast Lord.

Here and everywhere you are adored.

We pray that throughout this day,

we follow Your path and Your way.

We pray that we use each and every minute

to glorify You and to Your way commit.

Please help us Lord to resist temptation,

and tell others of Jesus and His Salvation.

Patience with my Child

I figured every parent could use a prayer like this..........

Please Dear Lord,

Give me patience with this kid.

I am about to loose my lid

That Smirk, I could just smack

Please hold my temper back!

Give me patience with my child

I know I must not seem at all riled.

Oh I know I want to just scream

But your love must reign supreme.

Give me patience with my daughter.

I starting a journey with the Lord last week.

I have been praying for a path and have been moved to write.

I went to the Hearts at Home conference this past weekend and feel moved to begin writing prayers in the form of poems. I sent an e-mail to Hearts at Home, praying for guidance. Jill Savage wrote back and suggested that I begin a blog. So this is my very first post..... …
