*Struggles Can Be A Real Blessing *
By: James Cook
How often in life do we get depressed or pulled down in our personal battles, whether it be physical, financially, a setback, or just when life deals us an unwanted or unexpected blow? Having a physical disability can be very difficult to cope with, regardless of its nature. Some are blind, others have physical ailments but can see, others have greater challenges, but regardless what it is, how many times do we sit back and…

*To Be Like Jesus Is To Think Like Jesus* By: James Cook
So often many have thought by reading scripture that they are on their way to being the type of Christian Jesus really wants us to be. Speaking with those who proclaim they have read the Bible from cover to cover, yet they keep relapsing back into their old ways is a sign that they haven't really adopted the mindset of Christ. Obtaining His mindset is partly through learning scripture, but this in its self is only information…

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
The Gospel is God’s provision for our sin is through “God The Son,” Jesus Christ, who became a human being and lived a perfect sinless life, then sacrificially died on a cross for our sins, after which He was resurrected, and is now at the right hand of the Father. All those who have accepted God’s provision in Jesus will be saved, experience eternal life. The Gospel is contained…

One of my favorite quotes is by A.W. Tozer in the book he wrote " The Persuit of God" which goes like this... "God is real in the absolute final sense that nothing else is. All other reality is contingent upon His. The great reality is God; the author of that lower and dependant reality which makes up the sum of all created things including ourselves."

Many believers struggle with prayer. Some find praying to God daunting or even uncomfortable. At some time, almost everone finds prayer difficult. Prayer need not be difficult at all. Given the right approach (or approaches), it is NOT praying that can become difficult and even uncomfortable.
Praying to the Heavenly Father is part of an ever-developing relationship. The content and form of our conversations with family, friends, and acquaintances change as our relationships change,…

The process of renouncement occurs when one decides to – “to give up or put aside voluntarily; to give up by formal declaration; to repudiate; disown…” In this regard, the following article was published by BREITBART.COM entitled: “FOLLOWING ATHEIST TREND, BRITONS SEEK 'DE-BAPTISM'…” The summary of this action is: “More than 100,000 Britons have recently downloaded ‘certificates of de-baptism’ from the Internet to renounce their Christian faith. The… Continue

Greetings,Fellow Christians! How great it is to have a place to chat with others who are living in the Lord! I am still what I would consider a "NEW" Christian, having come to the Lord only about 4 years ago. I am now married to a Christian farmer and belong to a very small, rural Baptist Church. My husband,Bob,and I are both new members of the church board. The January election of officers placed all new people in all the open positions, and I feel this was on purpose. This is a 200 year-old…

I like everyone else was born a sinner, and I remained a sinner for well over 20years. In that time I have had my own experiences with the world and with the ppl in it.
The day I first really heard about Jesus and the sacrifice he made for all of us and start to believe it. I hadn't before, as I was taught he was a god of vengence and that made me run from him instead of to him. I found out that he wasn't a God of vengence rather he is a God of Love and compassion, kindness, not cruelty as…

“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heaven.” ( Mathew 5:16 )
“In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the… Continue

A week ago, this relative of mine called me on the phone, we talked for two straight hours, the only reason why we got off the phone because her legs got numb from sitting too long( she is an older person, and needs to know that Jesus took her place on the cross and soon) After we said goodbye to each other, I felt sadness, like depression came over me mixed with so many emotions that I did not want to entertain at all. I was alone, felt sooo sick and lost too, hard to describe, could not pray…

Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring forth your righteousness as the light And your judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because… Continue

Devotional of the week
Are there aliens? Simple: no. But why aren't there?
The Bible says that all creation is cursed by sin. God didn't want other life forms like aliens to be punished by Adam and Eve's sin. It wouldn't be fair and God is fair.
"
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time." (Romans 8:22)…

One time, a wedding banquet was held in a small town otherwise known as a "barrio". Family members, relatives and close friends were especially present as the important guests . But when it was already time to eat, they were surprised to have seen so many uninvited ones also dining with them. In spite of that, the food being served was good enough to feed everybody including the unexpected ones. However, the hosts still couldn't help but vehemently react against the uninvited after the…

Christ in Our Place
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for… Continue

To say, we are living in uncertain and strange times, would be sharing a gross understatement. On the one hand, we have a nation who failed to pay attention and was indifferent when avarice (the insatiable greed for riches; inordinate, miserly desire to gain and hoard wealth) was rampant; while on the other hand, overreacting and over-reaching with proposed budgets and expenditures that are beyond imagination or comprehension. A British Member of… Continue

Revelation 12:10-11: “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Believers in Christ will not deny that the primary purpose of existence…

Brothers & Sisters, so many people are hurting, worried about the economy, losing jobs, depressed, lonely,
Abused, neglected, suicidal, & turning away from the Lord. We need to focus on God’s purpose for us.
God never said that we would be free of pain or suffering, if Jesus Our Precious Savior who was worthy
& did not deserve all the pain that was inflicted upon him, was willing to give his life for
Us & face so many trails and tribulations how can we not…
