Religion is one of the greatest tricks that the devil has up his sleeve. Religion tells us that we can earn salvation through our works, but that is a lie. Salvation can't be earned, but it is a gift from God. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. The Prophet Jeremiah said “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him on whom a price had been set by some of the sons of Israel, and they gave them for the potter’s field, as the Lord directed me.” This prophecy was full-filled when Judas Iscariot returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.
