If I were to ask you this: Would you like to taste this
C8-H10-N4-02.+H2O+C12.H22.O11+H2FCI ? You would definitely be very skeptical about it, unless I tell you that these are chemical formulas. Even after me telling you that, you would still be wondering “formulas for what?” But, if I was to offer you a cup of coffee with sugar and milk, it would make the difference in the world for you wouldn’t it?
When it comes to the gospel of Jesus, we might be doing the same thing to people…

What does it mean to be an oppressor, what is an oppressor. The Bible speaks a lot about oppressors, oppression, or people who are oppressed. a person is an oppressor who persecutes or subjects you to harsh treatment; it means to treat someone as though they have been conquered; it mean to treat as a conquered people, such as prior slaves or someone that you want to be a slave to you, you treat that person as if he was already conquered; as is he already was conquered, already a slave even if…

After talking with a few people on AGG, there seems to be a need to run a study for new Christians, and for those who are isolated. So with the help of a good friend, we'd like to set one up.
This is how we envisage it:
We don't want it to be all head knowledge;
Nor just one or two people teaching the rest.
We'd like it to be like a discovery expedition, where we are…

I've learned some important lessons this week. The most important is, as the title suggests, being in the place where God wants you to be.
And as a Christian, we can be involved in Christian work, but really not doing what GOD wants. If we analyse our motives for being there, it is often to please someone else ... because someone expects us to be there ... because we feel we're needed there. (Besides, what would they do without us.)
But, as I've discovered this week, if we…

With All Due Respect The Answer is Still No Homosexual Despite The Alreadys
Some people think that all people are homosexuals; that’s not the truth. The truth is that some people are and that does not include all of us. The fact that almighty God said, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is an abomination” is proof that it is not a Godly thing for us to do. I know that some people were born homosexuals and it’s true that we are all homos because the word 'homo'…

THE CORNER STONE
"The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner stone." ( Psalm 118:22 NAS )
In ancient times the cornerstone was the stone at the corner of two walls that united them. It was the visible corner of the foundation of the building and the starting point of all future building above the foundation. It was the most costly stone due of its beauty and strength. It was also the…

Here is my first blog post. I love this site and the opportunities it provides to love and learn and listen and share our experience, strength and hope.
Its a sort of a rainy day here in California. We are facing a drought as we are way behind in our annual rainfall percentages, and every newscast is full of drama and fear infliction, "
Only .10 inches of rain today." What does that mean? No boating in Folsom Lake? Metered water? Dead lawns? Crazy how some states are flooded…

Understanding the Truth
by Todd Strandberg
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Quest For Truth
The difficulty in recognizing truth from fiction starts right after birth. From my earliest days, I recall being constantly bombarded with falsehoods. When I was age five, none of my peers questioned the popular belief that some fat guy in a red suit was sneaking into houses annually to deliver name-brand toys made…

At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Matthew 11:25
This is a singular way in which to commence a verse--"At that time Jesus answered." If you will look at the context you will not perceive that any person had asked Him a question, or that He was in conversation with any human being. Yet it is written, "Jesus answered and said, I thank Thee, O…

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18
What multitudes of prayers we have put up from the first moment when we learned to pray. Our first prayer was a prayer for ourselves; we asked that God would have mercy upon us, and blot out our sin. He heard us. But when He had blotted out our sins like a cloud, then we had more prayers for ourselves. We have…

Trust in the LORD, and do good; [so] shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Psalm 37: 3-6

When taking satisfaction in Christ, our desires immediately change from our selfish ways and turn…

Be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" . . . And whoever exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. (1 Peter 5:5 and Matthew 23:12)
The Lord wants humility to be the spiritual attire that adorns our character. "Be clothed with humility." This is crucial, since "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." We cannot live by grace unless we are willing to walk in humility. Any other approach is some…

It will take at least as long as it will take for you to realize that this question is unanswerable. A mature Christian is one who exercises godly wisdom and does not become disillusioned by the things that people do, but, rather, stays focused on Christ.
A mature Christian is one who realizes the vast amounts that he does not yet know. Many people develop spiritual pride and think they know more than the average Christ-follower. These people are not mature! This old saying is very…

So I made a decision to praise Him during difficult times. In my immaturity and pride I've taken much too long to come to this decision. I pray fervently that He gives me the strength and diligence to be a true man of God.
Please pray for my focus to remain ever on Him. That I would see with His eyes and love with His heart. That I would be uncompromising in my pursuit of Him and defiant in remaining pure. That I would find my self-worth and satisfaction in Him and Him alone. This is…

Hi everyone, I'm glad I joined this network, seems like a great community of genuine good people. I was wondering though, is anyone here my age? I browsed a few members and didn't really find anyone.

The Greatest Love of all:
The greatest love of all; on a cross-, came to call He was to pay for our sins; rich or poor; one and all Oh how noble is He,
that He would choose to die for me Bring my soul into Heaven with God; victoriously.
I praise Him; who could love more than Jesus? Not a soul living or dead could ever have saved us.
Oh; He walked the old road with a beam upon… Continue

What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit?
A Spirit filled life is a Spirit controlled life. There is a reason why we are not experiencing a Spirit filled life. That reason is that we haven't developed a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Let us look at the Scripture to get some insight about Him, so we can begin to build that relationship with Him, then we will be more willing to turn the control of our lives over to…

There’s something that I would like to share with you; the more I meet people, the more I notice this problem in them (stress). One definition of Stress is: physical, mental, or emotional tension.
We all have experienced the symptoms of stress. Sometimes we choose to ignore them, and sometimes we do something about them. Here’s something that most of us have not even given a thought to. You might know it or you might not, but for those of you that don’t… pay attention to this; Stress can…

Have you ever thought about why there is so much fear in life?
If you have, you’re not alone. This is a very relevant question in every society, because every one of us has felt fear at some point in our lives. The question is, why? I believe that it starts when we are little kids. I had the opportunity to see one of my nephews grow up. I remember paying close attention to what he feared the most. Surprisingly, the kid was not afraid of anything, until the parents and siblings started to…
