According to James, no person can tame the tongue. We have to admit that so often our tongues get us in trouble. We think, after it's too late, "I shouldn't have said that!!"
So, for us, our trying is futile!!! But I think we all need to come to that point of realizing how corrupt we are. And really, the tongue is not what is the problem. As Jesus said, it is out of the abundance of the heart that our mouths speak. (See Matt 12:33-37) So we need to get to the heart of the…

Memories. Loved them ( Year 1945 and well into the 50’s and more)
Now this is bringing back times. In a bottle. For me. I can remember my brother’s old T. Ford car. He was much older then I.
He would crank it up in the front to get it started. Then it would huff and puff. Snort and spit with some smoke. Something like an old lawn- mower that has hardly no gas. Then I would hear him say above his breath. Come on Betsy. Seems everyone’s cars had that name. Good old Betsy. I…

So I'm 16 and at the moment I'm studying for exams! I have been feeling so discouraged recently as my boyfriend and I broke up and he just turned on me and started saying some really nasty stuff. He also told me what my friends said about me. I must admit it REALLY hurt. I have never felt the aching i felt that night. I felt so lonely and i, well i didn't know what to do! I started feeling really depressed and discouraged, wandering what was next. I realised in the time i was seeing that fella,…

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.

Lord I love you for who you are.
You do not scold me or put me in a cornor or tell me. I told you so. You at many times have let me go through things. To make me depend on you more. I go to the lowest of Valleys . To have you reaching down and pulling me up to the highest of Mountains. As you know how much I can take. Through trials and tribulations. I know I have witnessed your word to people and have had them to deal with for years. It is one thing to witness but when they are…

FOOTPRINTS...A New Version
Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.
But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures,
and returns.
For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line…

Can that possibly be?? Can *I* be perfect?
I'm still looking at what James says in chapter 3. And he says that if we don't stumble in what we say, we are PERFECT!! (See 3:2)
He said early, that we are made perfect through various trials that befall us, which are actually tests to our faith, and that in turn produces patience. Patience, he says, has to do its perfect work in us so that we can, in turn, be perfect and complete. (See 1:2-3)
So, I am wondering if…

Abortion; Brought forth in an immature state; failing, or coming to naught, before it is complete. Failing in its effect; miscarrying; producing nothing. To throw, fling or send; that is, to drive from, by force.
Abortion, in scripture is a sin against the word of God, when it states, “Thou shalt not kill.” The unborn has no knowledge of good nor evil. The definition of abortion bring the thoughts of inhuman treatment of an unborn child. Animals are treated better by the human race,…

Throughout history we read of many men and women of God who trusted the Lord in the midst of trials, persecutions, jails, lions, bad people, etc. While reading the Word of God you can’t miss a very important statement that comes out of the very mouth of God
"I Will be with you". It is a life changing experience when you believe Him at His Word. Let me take you to couple of scripture so you can understand it better.
Take a look at what God told Gideon (Judges 6:16)
GOD said to… Continue

Have you ever noticed how someone’s behavior might change in a matter of seconds? Have you ever asked yourself why?
Let me start by telling you this important fact; it is not in seconds that a person changes moods. It might seem like it, but it’s not.
Every person is different; I’m talking about different attitudes, characters, emotions, feelings, believes, motives, etc. It’s very difficult to judge a person, much less try to analyze his/her behavior.
Here are some other reasons…

While meditating on God’s Word, a couple of passages kept coming to mind. I read both passages in different translations and it ministered to my life in such an awesome way. Let me share them with you all.
John 15:16-17 says, ”You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearer, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, He gives you. But remember the root command: Love one another.”
Isaiah 43:1 …” But now,… Continue

When I found out the real meaning of Grace, I literally got really excited. It gave me a sense of comfort that I never felt before. I felt as if wasn’t guilty about anything anymore. It gave me a new desire to really worship God with all my heart. Man, Grace is amazing! Where would we be if it wasn’t for God’s grace?
The other side of the coin is that if we are not careful, we might become passive Christians; totally contrary to what our heavenly Father expects of us. Let me share couple…

While sleeping on a hot midsummer night in 2007, I had a learning experience… it, huh! … Well! Let me find the right words... It was about 11:15pm I had just gotten to bed, the lights were off, when suddenly!!! I heard a mosquito buzzing over my ear. I didn’t think of anything, until it kept happening more and more. Then I thought “This guy is going to have a picnic tonight if I don’t stop him”. So, I turned the light on and started to look for the mosquito. I had made up my mind that I wasn’t…

Listen to pain. Pain is discomfort created by disorder. Pain is not always an
enemy; sometimes it is a messenger -- a warning. If things are going wrong in your
body, take it seriously. If things are going wrong in your life, take it seriously.
If you are living with constant and chronic pain in your body, don't medicate it
, don't learn to live with it -- change it! It's time for a new beginning.
As you seek the Lord and desire to serve Him more, are you considering…

MÜLLER, GEORGE (1805–1898)
Leader in the Plymouth Brethren movement; founder of Christian orphanages.
Among the greatest monuments of what can be accomplished through simple faith in God are the great orphanages covering thirteen acres of ground on Ashley Downs, Bristol, England. When God put it into the heart of George Muller to build these orphanages, he had only two shillings (50 cents) in his pocket. Without making his wants known to any man, but to God alone, over a million, four…

It's a stinkin' hot day here. About 37C!! No energy to do anything much, so watching TV seemed a good option.
I came in at the end of an old war movie about Nazi Germany. (Don't ask me the name of the movie.) A trial was on, and a young German soldier (the accused) was giving his defense. He spoke a message to the youth of Germany. It started out with words that pleased his accusers, saying that he had learned his lesson about rebelling against the authorities.
But he…

Jesus said:
"Do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ." (Mat 23:10)
What did He mean by that??
Obviously, there ARE teachers in the Church. Isn't it one of the spiritual gifts? We read in other parts of the Bible that God gave some to be teachers, along with apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors. (See Eph 4:11.)
Perhaps the important word in what Jesus said is CALLED.
"Don't be CALLED teachers." God might place us…

I'm sitting here amazed at how the Lord works. The remarkable way He brings people together from all around the globe! People of like mind and heart! People with a love for God!
And I'm observing how we often strive to make it happen. We see the internet as a wonderful tool to spread the gospel and to unite Christians, so we try and figure out ways and methods how we can do it.
But hey, my experience is very different to that. I am so thankful for a prayer group that I am…
