Greetings to you Sandra in the name of the Lord;

My name is Susanne Dunn. I have been a member here for over a year but lately due to some personal things in my life I have not actively pprticipated in much.

I am responding to your prayer request for your son. Has this situation resolved itself? If it has...Praise God for His goodness!

I went through something very simular to you a loing time ago when my oldest son was 18. He too was accused of a crime he did not commit, and all the evidence pointed that way. But his father refused to stand by him, just because he wasn't seeing eye to eye with him over something else. He even testified against him and he was sentenced to 6 months in jail, it was reduced from 1 year,    The JUudgem evenh refered to his past just befor sentencing. Soi basically he was sentenced on lies. He had never been in trouble in his 18 years. He was still in school, had a part time job, he didn't do drugs or drink. He fought with his brother and teased his sisters, he was a typical teenager. He had enlisted in the ary, and that was the trouble his father thought would be his undoing. As a result he didn't graduate with his class, but did go into the army. His father and I divorced about a year later. But it was his life that was all at odds, and I didn't think he ever forgave his dad until his dad died this spring, in a different state, and my son flew up to see him and forgave him. He is now married, and has three children and has held the same job for almost 20 years.

I will keep praying for your son and for you, because I know how difficult it has been for you. I hope you keep or have kept fighting for him, because it can form the rest of his life.

I was not a Christian then, and I wish I had known the power of prayer then, things might have been very different.
