My story with God

looking back to my younger years, I can see God was at work without knowing at that time.
I come from a background where dad and some of his side are Christians but dad found it difficult with my mother and her family of non Christians. So I didn't really know God. I knew a little of him through Religious education at primary school. When I started public high school, was given a pocket size new testament bible. at this time I had tried to read it but didn't make sense and stored it away. during my late teen years I found myself venturing down to the uniting church that was close where i had lived. although had felt i didn't quite connect/ belonged with most there were families, friends, although was taken under the wing of a few kind ladies I'm still in contact with today. for a few years after had suffered a deep depression, anxiety, eating disorder, grief of loosing my dad, financial issues, self harm/ suicidal. through this dark time i can now see God had sent angels to help me, especially during the suicidal period. last year three years after moving to a new area, had found a connect church, surrendered my life and was water baptised and feel I finally belong after a lifetime of rejection, hurt, pain, etc.
