In the last 10 years or so the enemy has been using this ploy to draw other away from the truth by uncovering these so-called secret books. In the years of the early Church we find these false teachers trying to bring false doctrine into the church. Paul deals with this in his messages in the epistles.

Yes there are all kinds of ancient writing that some want to validate as scripture, but it is clear that these writings were considered as false doctrine. These issues are difficult to deal with, but we as Christians need to focus on the proven and reliable teachings of the Bible so we won't be led astray by false teachers.
