I've grown up knowing of Christ. Throughout my childhood I've come and gone from my dedication to God. Right before I turned 18, I begin to think about changing my life. At the time I was still drinking and using drugs, but I had a desire in me to change. I started to read my bible and pray for deliverance. At first everything was okay, but one day I fell into temptation and smoked a joint that was offered to me. Minutes after I begin to feel this pain in my chest. The pain progressed as my heart rate accelerated. I remember grabbing a cross from the wall and asking God for forgiveness and for him to make me alright again. At this point my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest. I screamed for my "friends" to call 911 but no one did. I ran to a neighbors house and banged on there door at 3 am for them to call 911. I went to the hospital and the doctor said he didn't know what was the matter. The pain in my chest persisted for a few weeks but then begin to fade aw ay. I was attending a church regularly. But a few months later I smoked again. I was at my friend Oscars house because I had fought with the lady at my church. It was worse then the last time. was ended up on the floor in the living room gasping for air with my face turning pale white. The paramedics had said that my heart rate was 170 beats per minute. When I went to the doctors they were clueless as to what was wrong with me. For the next 6 months I was in pain and extremely depressed. Everyday I begged God to change things, to make everything better. After being patient, he did. He blessed me with a job working at papa john's making minimum wage. Then after only a month I was promoted to Manager. It was incredible. All that happened when I was just 18 years old. I am now 20. A whole lot has happened in those 2 years. A lot of blessing, and a few mistakes. I'd right about it but it would take me months to write it all down. I'm just really glad that God has brought me the rough so much.

HOPE IN THE LORD'S FAITHFULNESS...........
- taken from the book of Lamentation 3:19-40:
19 The thought of my suffering and homelessness
is bitter beyond words.[a]
20 I will never forget this awful time,
as I grieve over my loss.
21 Yet I still dare to hope
when I remember this:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends![b]
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
26 So it is good to wait quietly
for salvation from the Lord.
27 And it is good for people to submit at an early age
to the yoke of his discipline:
28 Let them sit alone in silence
beneath the Lord’s demands.
29 Let them lie face down in the dust,
for there may be hope at last.
30 Let them turn the other cheek to those who strike them
and accept the insults of their enemies.
31 For no one is abandoned
by the Lord forever.
32 Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion
because of the greatness of his unfailing love.
33 For he does not enjoy hurting people
or causing them sorrow.
34 If people crush underfoot
all the prisoners of the land,
35 if they deprive others of their rights
in defiance of the Most High,
36 if they twist justice in the courts—
doesn’t the Lord see all these things?
37 Who can command things to happen
without the Lord’s permission?
38 Does not the Most High
send both calamity and good?
39 Then why should we, mere humans, complain
when we are punished for our sins?
40 Instead, let us test and examine our ways.
Let us turn back to the Lord.
