I was living in and out with my grandmother and mother, switching between the two. One was an alcoholic and the other was a drug addict. It was myself and my younger sister who seemed forgotten due to their vices. I pushed through in school, keeping my head down not to show anyone too much. I had friends and I made up my home life to see happy. I never wanted to go home. My grandmother took my sister and me to church most Sundays, but I never knew what I was doing. I went to Sunday school and learned about Jesus and how he had died for us. They taught us that Jesus was our Savior and watched us from Heaven. After learning about it all I was angry for the life I was given. I resented him. When I was put in to foster care I was forced to look to God again. This time was different. I was living the Christian life but it didn't feel right. There was sin everyday but Sunday. When I was adopted it was worse, I forgot his existence for months on end and then randomly I would go to a local church but it never changed.
This time I am older and wiser. I know God sent his only son to die for our sins. I am ready to live the life I should have been living. I am ready to continue my journey with God.
