- I have never felt worthy. I was not brought up in a religious household and was scolded by my grandmother when I was younger for accidentally taking communion in church, because I was "Not Allowed". I have never had the courage to seek God. I married a man who was an atheist, where God and religion were mocked. I turned to Buddhism as a bridge and read many Thich Nhat Hahn books. His Book Living Buddha/Living Christ seemed to give me a little bit of permission to even acknowledge that there may be a God. Then I had a friend who is Christian who invited me to "go on a date with God" and see what I thought. This is what I am doing. When I answered the questions...I began weeping. I don't know what that means. I feel so unworthy, but also so open.
