I'm passionate about...: God!

Volunteering for disabled vets, lifestride.org (horseback riding for the disabled).

My story with God: I was raised as a believer, but never taught about having a relationship with Him, much less with Jesus or the Holy Spirit. I have grown slowly with little spurts here and there, but of all things, my biggest growth has been in the last six months. So, at the age of 70, I'm really beginning living. It's been an awesome trip.

Other stuff about me:: I have really changed over the years, slowly, but changed. I didn't know how to behave when I got out from under my dad's thumb. He was an abuser and a very scary man. I married at the age of 20 not knowing how to behave emotionally. I had a trigger temper and threw tantrums all the time. In my 40's, ten years after my dad died, I forgave him and began slowly healing. In the meantime, though, I was divorced and had done immeasurable damage to my children which resulted in them eventually not speaking to me. I know God is working in this area to fully restore our relationships to a much closer and healthy way.
