- I am a practicing Catholic- Christian by faith. I must share that today if I am alive, it is just because of the grace and blessing of Jesus Christ. In the year 1997-98 I was a student of law at Simla, Himachal Pradesh, India. I was very close to Jesus ..At that time I was surrounded by negative energies...certain people..who would not miss an opportunity to fight, abuse and indulge in all kinds of mud slinging. I would only find some respite when I and my Geography teacher would have prayer sessions either at my place or at some other Christian home.I would also enjoy my company with friends who were also a great source of positive energy.. BUT ONE DAY.. I think in the month of July 1998 I returned home after watching a movie with a friend .. I got a feeling that I would fall ill. There was a shooting pain in the center of my abdomen & its intensity kept on increasing as time went by.. I was rushed to the Hospital that very night & doctor thought that appendix had burst open.. In the morning they prepared for my operation ..but before that they again took me for a Ultra Sound..Surprisingly they put a hold on the operation as the appendix was OK.. But my pain persisted and would increase every second. They would administer me painkillers like Buscopan, Fortwin injections to reduce my pain.. finally I was sent to bigger hospital at Chandigarh.. Sometimes the doctors would say that I had tuberculosis of the intestine or gastroenteritis or stone in the gall bladder or appendix. Although I did not believe them as all I wanted was relief from the every increasing excruciating pain in my abdomen. I was sent back to the hospital at Simla for surgery... I was not afraid of dying but the thought that I would leave my mother alone was troubling. me. I had become thin as a reed, could not stand straight and could not even go to washroom on my own or clean my self... One day I prayed to Jesus lying on the hospital bed that if he could give me a chance to live I would take baptism in the name of Jesus Christ again and would help people. I would get relief from the excruciating pain only for about 5 minutes after the painkiller injection and then again i would start crying in pain. I was still in the hospital and my friends and teachers would pay me a visit. But my whole day would go shouting in pain..One afternoon when I was crying in pain I asked my mother to go and get the painkiller injection.. but the doctors were refusing as i had already been injected.. As I was crying for the injection SUDDENLY MY PAIN VANISHED .. I THOUGHT I WAS DEAD... I FELT MY SELF AND REALIZED THAT I WAS ALIVE.. I at once called my mother who was pleading the nurse to inject me with a painkiller.. My mother was surprised to see me stand and I told her that we should leave the hospital as I was healed. At that very time my Geography teacher came and told me that he had a dream last night that when he would come to see me in the hospital I would be smiling.. which was true as I was..(I knew Jesus had listened to my prayer & healed me.) A team of doctors called me for discussion and diagnosis next morning but did not allow me to leave the hospital... Next morning we met the team of doctors and they examined me.. however they could not diagnose my problem but gave me a date in the month of October to operate on my abdomen.. But in my heart I was rejoicing as I knew I was healed by the Almighty Jesus Christ and just wanted to complete my promise of taking water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ .. which was finally given to me on the 17th September 1998 by immersing me in water completely.. That very night when I received the baptism I got a dream where I saw a small shapeless thing that came towards me and asked me- have you taken baptism in the name of Jesus Christ?.. Immediately thereafter this shapeless thing started growing into a big giant to intimidate me in my dream, but I realized that it was Satan who was testing me.. and so I said with a loud voice in my dream that YES I HAVE TAKEN BAPTISM IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.... I shared this dream with many people ..There is lot to share ...but I thank God for his mercy and blessings.. for his grace is sufficient for us.... I thank you very much for the suggested Prayer.. May the holy spirit protect and guide us. Amen
