meet with other like minded people and discuss issues, ask questions etc. I don't know many Christian people and feel a bit isolated. Looking for fellowship and encouragement and to be able to provide the same to others.

My story with God
I spent 20 years of my adult life in the Military, pretty much doing all I could to reject the Lord or at least try to ignore Him. I did and saw many terrible things that at the time I paid no attention to. I was at a point in my life where I was spiralling out of control. In an act of desperation I cried out to the only One who could save me, and He was there for me. Jesus has turned my life around. I am not the person I was. Nothing about me is the same.

It has been a while. How are you doing? How is the family? I have it one good authority that someone is about to celebrate a birthday....happy birthday.
here's a joke i got from the AAG forum to cheer you up-
BIGGER TURKEY-
A woman walks into a butcher's shop just before closing time and asks, "Do you have any turkey?"
The butcher opens his fridge, takes out his only turkey and puts it on the weighing scales. It weighs six pounds.
The woman looks at the turkey and at the scales and asks, "Do you have one that's a bit bigger than this one, please?" The butcher puts the turkey back into the fridge and then takes it out again, but this time when he puts it on the scales he keeps his thumb on the turkey. The scales now show eight pounds.
"That's wonderful," says the woman. "I'll take both of them, please!"
You're in Canberra? Our previous pastor moved there last year. He is a great teacher of the Word. If you're interested in fellowship there, I could give you his details.

Don't ever hesitate to drop a note or ask a question. We are here for each other. That is what brothers in Christ do.
Lord bless ya brother,
