My story with God: i grew up in the church and decided to give Christ control of my life when i was in high school. i struggled to know what that really looks like in every area of my life at the time and had an eating disorder when i felt pressured to be perfect. in college, i learned what it meant to have Christ have control over my mind and thoughts and i learned for the first time about spiritual warfare and the power of prayer and praying Scripture and the importance of meditating on his Word and putting on the full armor of God. i turned to boyfriends off and on over the years, and came up empty and seeking God again and then again. Every time, he's been faithful to meet me where I am. He's knows my every mistake and foul thought, but he knows me through and through and lifts me up with His encouragement every time. i've struggled with fear of people, and what they think, over what God thinks and have been so prideful in my short life- how foolish! But I praise God for helping me with my fears and anxieties because HE is freeing me up to live in love with Him. I only want to grow stronger in the Lord and not to backtrack. I feel like the Israelites; Why, why did you turn to the golden calf? Why do I? Lord, please stay close to me all the days of my life.

Other stuff about me:: made it through the first year of marriage. the second year is going way better so far. i love to play with my little dog. i enjoy teaching kids at the school where i work. i enjoy writing. i'm working on a teen's christian fiction right now. i also like to read. i'm reading the hobbit for the first time. i'm a big fan of beth moore books and studies. i want to feel better connected to the church where i attend. i have very few close friends right now, and need God's help to try again.

Thank you for those of you who prayed for me about my temptation with anorexia. With God's help and prayer,

I've been able to face the temptation and seek some counseling. Although the counseling does not take my insurance and it is pricey. I hope and pray something will come through.

Why is it that some things seem to come all at once? My heart breaks for my family.

My husband doesn't fully understand about my struggles with anxiety and depression. He's come across

to me as very supportive until he got very upset with me tonight saying that he's getting a lot done- more than me- that because I'm spending time with God- praying, reading Scripture, doing a Bible study, listening to Worship music. Over the past year, I've developed an anxiety (again) in the car, whether it's driving or riding. I had this once before in my life during college, when I was in a dating relationship that wasn't healthy. I was a believer then and am now. I went through counseling then for anxiety and depression and for healing from past hurts in my childhood life that I was remembering and coming to terms with. Whenever you are afraid don't give in to it, but turn to God and read as many scriptures you can about how much we are loved. I listen to gospel music and drown out the nagging thoughts.
