If only I had this life to live over again,

oh the changes I would have made.

I would have gone sleigh riding on the winters' snow,

marveled at the sight of a rainbow...

gazed at a sunset across a meadow.

It doesn't seem so very long ago.

Forgive me Lord! I just did not know!

All the beauty that surrounds me

I know was made by Thee,

the glorious multicolored leaves

which fall from the trees.

The musical tones of a song bird,

spiritually captures me!

What could compare

to their sweet melodies.

Everything I sense around me,

as I walk through trails and forest:

The rocks, the streams, the furry animals,

I rejoice in!

I lived this life my own way.

What else can I say?

"Arise! It's Judgment Day!"

I misused the life He gave.

Angrily His fist has raised!

Was it worth the price I paid?

It's the day of recompense I fear!

Is this just a horrible nightmare?
