My story with God

I grew up with pessimistic attitude in life. I saw myself as a person having less value. My life was driven out with fear. The simple life I dream of when I was a child became complicated. I was 18 years old when my parent separated. I have focused my attention in my studies and friends to ignore my family's situation. There were hard questions in my mind that kept haunting me like "Why am I here in this world? What is the purpose of life?Is there really a true god?" I began to search for answers to these questions. I realized my life was meaningless. I did not know where I am headed. The emptiness in my heart became more evident.

In August 1991, I was invited to a gathering. Then somebody shared God's love and forgiveness. As I was listening I realized I do not have a personal relationship with God. At that moment I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord through a short prayer of faith. Suddenly the emptiness in my heart was gone. I realized only Jesus can satisfy my deepest need. I started to attend Sunday Worship Service.
Eventually, I met a missionary and she challenged me to attend Bible study. I have learned a lot from our Bible study. Slowly my perspective in life was changed. I discovered that I am valuable in God's sight. I thank God for giving me a mentor who believed the best in me. She helped realized that I have abilities and potentials. I have gained confidence knowing that Jesus is always there to guide me. God beginning to pick up the broken pieces of my life, to create whole and a beautiful picture of my story. I have come to realize that people are lost without Christ in their lives. I became actively involved in reaching out to people for Christ.
