just lost my Dad December 4th, her and i still struggling immensely, they had the most enduring love affair of 68 years, such a huge massive loss for both of us

I am in christian counseling with this most wonderful couple, he is a retired surgeon, she has a very well rounded background in spirituality and religion courses
I attend a non denom church, wonderful church family

- love love watching Super Soul Sunday shows on the OWN network, both new and old shows for hours on Sunday
Had a cochlear implant eight years ago, a rough beginning with that, because I was born deaf, even though I am an excellent lipreader and wore hearing aids 51 years, the first processor a bad one a dud really, three years ago they came out with upgrade, a much better but had also gotten used to a world of silence for six years, so am breaking that habit and retraining my brain but have always had a capacity for loving music and hearing music and adore worship music
had excellent carrer but curtailed severely by abuse flashbacks from older brother, still struggling with that as he has come back and in just two months has tried to take complete control over my mother, trust issues, finances involving me etc, so am fighting back with attorney i just retained today, a real gem, and fighting to get my mother back with more access to her before it is too late, but I know and trust God is fighting for me and for her as well
I am a divorcee but have excellent relationship for the most part with my ex-partner-friend, he truly loved my father, saw him as a father to him and has been most wonderful to my mother, actually more of a son in many ways than my brother, and had truly steeped up the last couple years with them so am grateful and so blessed for that with him
sorry about the typing, terrible at it, and am so so exhausted at this very late hour, just did fifty praises for god these last two hours before finding this site
