Interests:: I am a member a of a women's Bible study group that meets weekly for prayer and study, member of a small group Bible study with my preacher weekly, student in a weekly Christian counseling study. I attend my church weekly, which is Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, MO. I live alone on a small acreage surrounded by Iowa farmland. I have cats,a dog, and usually chickens and turkeys. I am a master gardener and like too quilt, raise a garden, can and freeze veggies. I also raise annual and perennial flowers, grasses, herbs, tropicals and succulents. I am involved in several ministries, and also do disaster relief mental health intervention with the Red Cross.

I'm passionate about...: My Abba--loving and serving Him. I am in love with His creation, am awed regularly by nature, creatures, sunrise and sunset, the sky, rivers and lakes, countryside, etc. I pray to be more passionate about His word. My God has been so good to me. I strive to be always humbled.

My story with God: I have been a Christian for 25 years, but have not always been commited. I started on the fringe of my congregation, was a "Sunday Christian" for the first several years. I became more motivated to grow and change spiritually by the grace of God, especially when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, then4 years later badly fractured my leg and ankle in a fall, then 2 years later my house burned to the ground and I lost all my earthly possessions. My God loved me through these tragedies and changed me by His love. My current desire besides taking advantage of all the opportunities to serve Him, is to gain more knowledge of His word and become a better witness.

Other stuff about me:: I am a former Catholic. I have never married. I like antiques. I live in a new house, which I designed, on the site of the house that burned down. Most of my neighbors are Christian. I volunteer weekly at an Iowa Welcome Center and a used clothing nook started by the local ministerial alliance.
