teacher
I'm here to...
talk to fellow believers
Interests:
I enjoy church activities, walking, biking, and wanting to know more of God intimately. I am not there yet.
I'm passionate about...
knowing who I am in Christ
My story with God
I've been a Christian for many years but still do not know God like I want to. I often feel very alone and even though I know in my head, I am not. My heart does not get it---that Jesus is with me always.
Other stuff about me:
Churches can be very lonely places and hard to meet people. I guess that's why I am here to chat.

Joyelle,
How are you doing dear lady? Do you have time for coresspondance yet, or are those darling little children running you ragged? LOL! May the Lord bless you & give you new strength & energy!

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you can attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare, especially in this World
today.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

Good Morning Joyelle,
I have been on a "Rest period" other wise I would have returned sooner.
I trust that things are improving in your communications with God..
Joyelle allow me to ask a question in regard to your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Do you hear Him speaking to you personally? Or is He still in Capetown?
Have a great day and the Lord bless you.
You friend in Christ - Ron.

Joyell,
Yes, those are my grandchildren. I'm crazy about them! I will most cetainly pray for you. My computer is being fixed. I'm on my husband's laptop. The print is hard to see, so I will be taking a break from writing as well. Be blessed my sister!

Joyelle,
Yes, it's nice isn't it? There are no strangers in the Body of Christ, with those who truly love Him! It's amazing!
Oh, I just love third grade age! I helped as a volunteer teacher's aid, when my son was in third grade. They are still young enough to have a little awe & respect for authority figures & are so wide-eyed with wonder and eager to learn! (Mostly, ha, ha!) I think teaching is the most underpaid, under-appriciated profession in the world! I thought for just a moment, "Uh, oh. I need to watch my p's & q's in spelling & grammer now!" But who could decipher writing better than a third grade teacher? LOL! I'm sure that the negative changes in society over the years has affected the ease of shaping little minds. Ageing is no fun! I'm already feeling it myself, at only 52! God bless you for your faithfulness at hanging in there so long. I'm sure you have been & will continue to be a light & encouragement to so many! My verse for today is ~ "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath a great recompence of reward." Heb. (Oops! forgot the vs. #!) Be blessed dear lady!

Greetings Joyelle,
Jesus never goes to Cape Town while leaving you behind in Canada.
I had this experience many times when I only focused on Him whenever He was needed. But when things were running smoothly..... Oh well! y a w n.
But the moment things suddenly went awry..... "hello Jesus, where are you?"

Should we stay focused throughout ALL seasons, then He cannot disappear in winter "Impossible."

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face and the things of the earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and Grace."

"Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant--dog dung. I've dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ." (Php 3:8 MSG)
