- Grew up Christian but never understood true Christianity... went to church everyday as a kid, baptized at 13, without understanding. Never really read the Bible or knew what it was for though I had one. As I got older God kept revealing Himself to me in different ways and I guess I listened because by 19 I finally developed a personal relationship with Him. His presence filled me. But like all baby Christians I lacked in God's Word, still didn't know I had to read the Bible nor had an interest in picking it up to read. I treated the Bible like a regular book basically; Cool stuff here and there..... The closer I came to Christ the more people He brought to help me along the path to righteousness. I was still very prodigal though so I wasn't living for Him, but still seeking. I still never fit in with any of the Christians I was around so I sought fellowship elsewhere. Then at 23 He lead me to a Christian website(not this one)...and I got pulled aside to do a Bible study with someone which is what sparked me to finally want to start reading the Bible for my own edification and knowledge. Through reading the Bible I learned who God was more, felt Him talking to me, and finally learned that His Word is supposed to be my life doctrine my law that I have to abide by. Certain sins I didn't know were sins were revealed to me, my own sins started bothering me, my attitude changed, my lifestyle changed, I started wanting to actually live for God. Finally finished the NT a year later at 24 now reading the OT. God rebaptized as well because now I know what it truly means. Still don't fit in with Christians or Non-Christians, but I fit in with the LORD and that's all that matters.
