I'm here to...: Learn how to communicate with God. He says I am not listening, to listen with my heart. I have so much turmoil I can't hear him.

My story with God: I have been Catholic all my life. Throughout my adult life with a family I was not a practicing Catholic. But have been in the last 10 yrs. been to a Catholic church, attended my son's church a Baptist church and I have the Jehovah's Witness check in on me since I am disable. I read their material. I read the Bible the NIV. So I am very confuse on just what I should be doing on a day to day basis. I pray at any time during the day or night when I wake. I pray when I walk. But I did get the message from God I need to listen more. I need to know how to do that! Also, When I read the Bible I am scattered. I tend to read the Psalms it is easier to understand. Or sometimes I will just close my eyes and pick a page and feel that is where God wants me to be.

Other stuff about me:: I had a dysfunctional childhood. My Dad committed suicide when I graduated I was 18. My world when into a tales spin and I lost myself. I was physically and mentally abused by my son's father for over 20 yrs. I raised three wonderful sons. My middle son passed away suddenly Aug 2, 2010. I still struggle. My abuser left after his death we had been together for 35 yrs. He became a dug addict and went with my dead son's girlfriend of which my son had a baby girl with. This was so twisted and insane to me. I cut off all ties. But I fear he will still harm me. I live in fear from day to day. But I pray.
I became an RN in the 90's and acquired a spine injury and have had shots, two spinal surgeries and also needed repair to the damage to both shoulders. I suffer from a muscle disorder and thyroid disease and most recently heart palpitations. So I am disable and live off very little money only my salary. I am not a very active person because of pain, my heart and I think depression. Thank you !
