I'm here to...: stop struggling and grow to know for certain that I am a born again Christian

My story with God: I have struggled for so many years to connect with God, but I feel I'm lacking the ability to do so. There was a time I knew I was saved, since then I haven't been able to connect with God after a time of sinning. I have prayed for forgiveness 50 times or more, but I still feel lost. I will believe I am forgiven, until I read something about deceiving myself and doubting. I think alot of it has to do with a lifetime of distrust for people and not being able to put 100% trust in God, then I feel guilty for not trusting. I'm at wits end, knowing and believing time is short.

Other stuff about me:: I'm grateful for everything I have ever had and have now, but not feeling good about myself at all. Feel like a total failure and loved by my dogs only.
