I'm here to...: Be and example of Christ, my Saviour and share what He has done for me.

Interests:: I am an artist with a 2 year degree, gardening, reading, crocheting, sewing, writing, and journaling. I love sitting on my front porch swing and visiting with my neighbors. I used to go deer hunting but I don't go any more. I do like to fish and go on picnics.

I'm passionate about...: Serving the Lord and encouraging my sibings about the Lord. He is my whole life.

My story with God: I was about 7 and it was summer. I was playing outside and ran into the kitchen barefooted. We lived in the country. This was back in the 50's. There was an elderly man dressed in a black suit, white hair and a white collar around his neck. He was on one knee in front of my mom and his eyes were closed. I didn't know who he was talking to, but I thought he was proposing to my mom and I wondered what dad would say. He stood up an looked at me and I saw a shine on his face that I never saw on anyone before. I lived in an alcolholic home and was surrounded by drunkness. All I knew was arguing among the adults.
When he left, mom said we were going to church. I asked how much it cost. I didn't know anything about God or Jesus. This preacher picked up as many kids in the lane we lived on that could fit in his car every Sunday no matter what the weather was like. Someone else would come in the evening to pick us kids up. We went even on Wed.'s and vacation bible school also. We were not allowed to make up any excuse to not to go. I thank God that my mother handed this down to us. My 2 daughters are Christians today and my neice. I found Jesus as my saviour when I was 7.

Other stuff about me:: I am a single 62 year old woman and I have a little long haired dachshund. His name is cocoa John. My fiance', John, got him for me 2 years ago. Pastor John had open heart surgery last Sept and passed away 3 days after. We were to marry on Oct. 20 last year. I really miss him so much. I know he is in Heaven and he is actually seeing the Jesus we live for and have not yet seen. I can't wait to get home to Heaven to be with Jesus. I just want to see my family make it also. I am so glad Jesus is my Saviour. I love Him with all of my heart. He really blesses us. I thank Him for all of the small everyday things I have. Praise God!!!
