- My story with God
- I am passionate about sharing my testimony and strong beliefs about Jesus Christ. Why ? Because I KNOW he has helped me through very rough times in my life. He has heard my cries and answered my prayers. He's the best friend I have. I'd be more than happy to share my story/testimony with you.
Over the years I have worked as a volunteer youth leader at a local non-denominational church. leading a group of Jr. HS and Sr. HS teens. It can be challenging, but also alot of fun.
I believe Christians need to embrace one another and unite, put aside our differences of opinions, and focus on Christ, who is the core of our faith ... too much conflict is going on. Protestants Vs. Catholic, Christians Vs. Christians ... I tend to have an open mind on most subjects, so I try to shy away from pointless debate.
This verse hit me a few years ago, as I was reading my bible, because it is Christ praying for all of His believers/followers to be ONE. So reflect on these words of Jesus Christ, the next time you think ill of another denomination, a catholic or protestant, etc. In short, I believe God knows everyone's hearts ... God knows everyone's salvation ... Not me, Not You ... Face it, denominations are of MAN ... NOT GOD ... They are silly labels we give ourselves ... and denominations are all rooted out of an initial conflict and disagreement over some doctrine ... "Screw you, I'll start my own church !"
If you believe in Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior, I accept you as my fellow brother/sister as a believer in Christ ... perhaps some of our beliefs will differ here and there, but if our common ground is Christ, and Christ is the core of our shared faith, why tear each other apart over trivial issues, with insults and harsh hatefilled words ? That's what we do, we dismember the Body of Christ by attacking and tearing each other apart, over conflict of opinion, instead of respecting each other's differences in LOVE. Just remember, Christ knows their hearts and if they are saved ... You Don't, and Neither Do I ... And very rarely do people come to Christ and accept Him, as a result of being told how stupid they are and other various insults ...
John 17:20-23
"I do not pray for these (the apostles) alone, but also for all those who will believe in Me through their (the apostles) message; that they all may be ONE, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be ONE in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be ONE just as We are ONE: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in ONE, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me."
Another translation reads:
"May they be brought to COMPLETE UNITY to let the world know that you sent me and have LOVEd them even as you have LOVEd me."

That makes me so proud of my faith. I just remember that verse really hit me the first time I read it. I sometimes sign that verse when I'm giving out autographs ... ok ... filling out greeting cards.

I love ALL Music ... I mean ALL ... my taste is W I D E. 20's 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's Present ... Rock, Classical, Rap (Old School), Country, Jazz ... everything. Too much to list. The only "genre" I don't like is the new R&B which is stupid, repetitive, vulgar and requires no talent, and gansta rap.
I am also into the outdoors, love camping (tent), hiking, swimming, canoing, etc. I love anything involving nature/water (except getting attacked by a Shark).
