My story with God: I have spent most of my life in abusive relationships starting with my own father. I have always believed in God but I was very stubborn about joining a church. About 18 months ago I left my last abusive relationship, learned why I kept getting in the same situation over and over, learned who I am and gave my life over to God. I walked into my local United Methodist Church and felt immediately like I was home. I am now very involved there with Bible study, UMW, Scripture reading and anything else I can I can do there. I have never been happier.
